Hey everyone,

It's been quite a while since the last Holiday Wishes event! I hope everyone had a great time then, not just materially but in other way as well.

Some of you may be familiar with del.icio.us, a social bookmarking tool where you post URLs to your chosen websites, attach tags to them, and share them with the rest of the world. This concept (especially of tagging) has become extremely popular, and now someone has taken that concept and used it for wishlists.

grat.uito.us is a "social wishing" tool whereby anyone can build up their wishlists with items from any place in the world. You set up an account, go to "Add a wish", and fill up the particulars of the wish - name, description, URL, price, and especially tags.

You can also set tags for yourself, so that people looking for wishlists of a specific type of person can find you. (For instance, if you use "pagan", "fan", and "woman" as tags, anyone searching for fellow pagans, fen, or women can find you.)

grat.uito.us also has a Friends feature, where you can add lists of your friends and families upon invitation, and see each other's lists. This also enables you to suggest ideas for wishes for your friends' list - for instance, if your friend is a Frida Kahlo fan, and you spot a documentary DVD about her but she hasn't added it to her wishlist yet, you can suggest it for her. You can also mark items on their list as "purchased".

I've just started using it and it's honestly the COOLEST wishlist website EVER. I truly recommend this.

If you join, add me to your list and I'll add you back :D

Have fun!
