About Me
Greetings! I'm Miss M. Turner. I'm 39 and I live in Florida with my guy and our two cats. I've been in this community for longer than I can remember. LOL I look forward to it every year and enjoy both sending and receiving some holiday cheer!

2016 hasn't been the worst year ever, but it certainly has had ambitions to rank in the top ten. :( It's been a rough one overall including loss of pets, family medical issues and other stressful situations. Honestly, I've been looking forward to the holidays just to try and end on a high note.

Wishlist!
1. To have a good season in my etsy shop PhoenixFire Designs! Sales have been slow all year and unfortunately, I've been struggling to keep my head above water this year. I make beautiful pieces by hand and with love, including my world-famous Tree of Life pendants. I also gladly customize and personalize.

Even just spreading the word is helpful! And I'm all over social media! Share, tweet, post, pin on your journal, blog, tumblr, instagram, pinterest, facebook, twitter - anything! The more people know about it, the more I have a chance of getting buyers. Please help support handmade this holiday!

2. Jewelry/Bead Supplies!
I always need jewelry supplies! Swarovski crystals, gemstone chip strands, faceted rondelles, large hole beads, lampwork beads, silk bracelet ribbon, findings (earring hooks, headpins, clasps, etc.) Just no plastic/pony beads please as I can't use them.

3. Happy Mail Surprises
I rarely get mail these days. So I would love some fun, interesting or amusing mail. Postcards, letters, photos, some little trinket, something you made, art, pretty rock or crystal you found, a secret, a book, a card, something with owls, something Disney, something Harry Potter, something silly, something whimsical etc. Just some kind of surprise, happy mail or little "thinking of you" pick me up type letter or parcel. Really this is just an open call for any and all positivity in the form of mail. Sender's choice! :)

4. Anything from my amazon wishlist.
I don't mind gently used items. I'm a big believer that many things in life can be enjoyed by more than one person and shared. (And if you already own something on the list and want to pass it on, that's awesome too!)

5. Fandom!
I have several fandoms and would love things inspired by or about them. For example, I LOVE Back to the Future. Like, seriously, I know the first movie by heart. It's my ringtone on my cell. So, anything about, or from or inspired by - handmade or store bought - would be super fun. DeLorean items, Doc Brown, Marty - it's all good. Tees, keychains, posters, postcards, figures, autographs, promotion things, whatever. I even cosplay a female Marty McFly LOL

Or Disney! I live 90 minutes away from Walt Disney World and I am obsessed with it! I've never been to Disneyland though. I love things about the history of the parks, Walt, Mickey, Pixar, Figment, the attractions themselves, Carousel of Progress - just big Disney nerd. I also Disneybound!

Or Steampunk! I love cogs, gears, top hats the whole aesthetic, dressing up, the creativity! Any accessories or knick knacks or jewelry or whatever would be fantastic! I am a total Steampunk!

6. Something Handmade
What's your specialty? I'd love to see what you love to make by hand. Knit, crochet, sew, printmaking, woodwork, paper crafting, photography, paint, art, embroidery, screen printing, etc., etc., etc.....I'm leaving this totally open. If you need inspiration, feel free to check out my pinterest boards which have TONS of crafty inspiration divided up by category.

7. Gift certificates. For just about anywhere!
Craft stores, Restaurants, retail stores, online stores, big box stores - you name it. I don't mind if you've used part of it and have $7.52 left on it. I know sometimes people give you ones for places you might not like or need or use and they sit and collect dust in your wallet.

Three ones I could use most?

8. Anything Boston Bruins for my husband!
I'd love to get him some Bruins stuff. Being in Florida, there's not a lot of it available here. Anything would be awesome from keychains, stickers, car magnets, tess (XXL), etc. Help me surprise him!!

9. Do something nice for someone
This is the time of year when so many people are stressed out. If you can try and do something nice for someone else, it really goes a long way. It can be something simple like holding a door for someone with too many things in their hands, or helping carry something heavy. Maybe you can donate some of your time to a local charity, or if not time, try to give a couple bucks to an organization that matters to you. (Animals, literacy, environment, etc.) Doing something nice for someone else freely and with no expectation of getting something back is just about the best feeling in the world. So try to pass it on. :D

And last but certainly not least... 10. Holiday cards!
Bonus if they have penguins on them, or owls, or winter scenes and extra bonus if they are Yule/Solstice themed. But honestly, any and all cards are SO welcome! I absolutely love mail. I check my mailbox every day because I just love getting mail. It's like a present.

ALLERGY NOTE: Because of my migraines, I can't have anything that was around smoke and I can't have any scented products unless they smell like food. Anything with a musk or a perfume or non-edible scent will trigger a migraine. I am also allergic to artificial sweeteners. Thank you.

Thank you in advance! I hope you and yours have a beautiful holiday season!

I'm Lily, and am more than kind of late this year, but I figured I may as well post a list as I'm trying to grant so many. I'm pretty sure I've done this for four years now, am 19 years old, am going to a community college intending to major in Creative Writing, just recently celebrated a one-year anniversary with my awesome boyfriend, and am from Lafayette, California (yay NorCal.) Honestly, I feel like I had a HUGE wish granted already, because last week it looked like my family was going to be evicted from our duplex. Fortunately, we got everything straightened out and the future is looking a bit better.

My list is kind of spastic. Or, at least it seems like it to me.

1. Recommendations for weird books. Typically if I think a book sounds sort of odd or unusual, I'm pretty liable to pick it up. By this I mean books that are really surreal, have a bizarre plot device, maybe even had something you found kind of weird or disturbing in them. Basically, if you've ever finished a book and thought 'Man, that was a trip'? I'd probably want to read it.

2. Advice for recovering a broken hard drive. Definitely a long shot, I know. Last summer my hard drive stopped spinning, as I have been told, and there are a few things I would really, really want to recover from it. It's from a Dell Vostro 1500, and if anyone could point me in the right direction for somewhere to take it/what I could do I'd appreciate it. (I've been told it could take $1000+ to fix..?)

3. Somewhat related, musical soundtracks. I had a LOT of them on my hard drive that random friends/acquaintances sent to me, or gave me on a burned CD that is now scratched to pieces. There aren't really any musicals I hate, and I'd kinda prefer physical copies but digital is fine too. The only soundtracks I know I have on CD are Urinetown, Phantom of the Opera, Cats, Wicked, Legally Blonde, and Hedwig and the Angry Inch, so I'm covered on all of those.

4. If you're an avid reader and have a ton of books lying around, join PaperBackSwap.com! It's pretty much awesome, fairly easy, and you can put your account on hold if need be. I joined it a few years ago because of someone on here, and really I just want to spread the word. If you do decide to join, please list me (my username's Eudial) as the person who referred you.

5. College advice because I still am not really decided on what school I'm transferring to. I'm looking for somewhere with a strong writing/creative writing program, in a fairly urban area, and a fun atmosphere is always nice. I'm pretty much open to suggestions, feel free to tell me about somewhere I may not have heard of or considered.

6. Halloween themed socks! I wear them year-round. :D My feet are like, US women's size 8, but apparently I still fit bigger sizes of kids' socks.

7. A Magic Bullet, because it looks pretty nifty and my current blender is older than I am.

8. Toffee. Homemade toffee would make me unreasonably happy, but also so would normal store-bought Almond Roca.

9. BART tickets, with any amount on them. My boyfriend lives in the San Jose area, and I have no car, so this is pretty much how I visit him. Maybe you were in the SF area and have a half-used ticket? Or just feel generous? I don't know. In any case, it would be greatly appreciated.

10. A paid account would be cool; I've gotten way out of the habit of regularly updating my journal and want to get back in the swing of things. Ngl, the extra icons would definitely be an incentive.

Thanks for reading! Hope you have a charming holiday, if you aren't already. My address is here )

Hey friends! This is my favorite time of year so I'm super excited. :D Can't wait to start granting some wishes! In the meantime, here is my own list to feed my weird obsessions:

1. Moleskine notebooks -- medium (8.5" by 5.5") or pocket-sized. My favorites are the ones that are plain, lined, or the ones for watercolor painting!

2. Pinkberry or Red Mango gift cards!! I have a serious addiction to them.

3. Magic the Gathering cards!

4. Knee-high socks. The fuzzier and/or cuter the better!

5. Any honeybee-themed things.

6. Any watercolor painting supplies -- paints, brushes, paper, etc.

7. Any penguin-themed things.

8. Anything Celtic.

9. Any lighthouse-themed things.

10. Anything to do with cute puppies.

Awww, I love this time of year. I just went Christmas shopping today and started composing goody baskets for my friends who are going abroad! So fun.

Anyway, I'm Zoe, a 20 y.o. college student in Minnesota studying German and English & wishing I were studying music! Here's my wishlist...

1) I keep losing my chapstick and it's baffling me! I have no clue where it's gone! So I need to re-stock up, and my absolute favorite is Softlips. Heaven!Hai
2) I'm a scarf fiend. Any color, any length, as long as it's cute I'm totally turned on!
3) Eyeshadow, especially if it's sparkly.
4) Wool socks and ankle socks. I'm gonna be doing a lot of walking outside in Vienna and I don't want my tootsies to freeze and fall off.
5) Hair ribbons, long enough to tie around a head as a headband.
6) Dark chocolate...
7) Colorful Sharpies! I'm obsessed.
8) Starbucks giftcard. Me = caffeine freak. My fav is the Java Chip Frappucino (light, of course... stupid metabolism).
9) Super-smooth ball point pens. I don't know why, but they make me so happy.
10) That you get your most special holiday wishes fulfilled. Because you deserve it.

My email is zhlindberg @ stthomas.edu - also, send me an email if you want a Christmas card, because I'm sort of crazy about sending mail. Seriously, what's better than finding that your mailbox isn't empty? And if you email me, send me your address too!

Have a really nice holiday season. Appreciate the best qualities of humanity: generosity, community, and love. Peace!
