Dec. 2nd, 2004 06:02 pmHey hou. Today I bought some Finnish candy, empty cds, small random things and postcards to sent to folks out there. It's the small things make me this excited, things like this idea. Sendings things to strangers around the world:)
Anyways, I finally came up with
1. Johanna Sinisalo’s book, Troll – a Love Story. It’s a lovely book from a Finnish author. I’ve read it in Finnish and I recommend it to everyone who’d like to read a bit different fantasy tale set in the real world. It’s about a man who fell in love with a troll. Now I’d love to own a copy of it in English. We could do a book exchange maybe?
2. A book in Ancient Greek - if it is oldish, the better!
3. Wispa mint chocolate bar – My addiction! Too bad I live in Finland, one can get them only in UK:/ If you send me a wispa bar, I can send you some ’salmiakki’;)
4. Beads – the ones that look quite natural… made of wood, ceramics, bone or metal. It’d be better if the hole in it was larger than 2mm. I shall braid them to my hair like this:

5. Beautiful maps. Especially ones that are old or drawn in old style. Small, big. City, continent, the whole world. Ocean, mountain, sea… just the same:)
6. Any clasps, pins and brooches, that look somewhat old(no kitsch). Any sizes.
7. Papyrus paper – blank, any size and quantity
8. Something you have made. A drawing, a painting, something made out of wood, leather, fabric… anything. Just something that is made by you.
9. Anything Oasis-related(the band, not the thing in the desert). A poster, some old paper cuttings … maybe some rare/bootleg cd, old concert ticket, photos… in case you’re an ex-fan;)
10. A small(self-made?) book containing some of your favourite quotes. It can be a hardcover or just couple of pieces of paper bound together.
If you’d like to send something for me, e-mail me(sodamnyoung @ gmail.com) for my snail mail address.
Best wishes & happy and peaceful holidays,
Maarit
