Hey, I'm Leanne, 24, working for a bank in the UK (you can imagine how fun that is at the moment).
My lifelong dream is to drive to random places in America and Canada. By myself, with friends, anyone, I'm determined to do it before I turn 30.
I'm hoping to grant some wishes, as long as they don't involve spending much money I should be good :)

My Wishlist -


1. Music - mix cd's/fanmixes/recs
I love when people introduce me to singers/bands that normally I would never have listened to. I'm into pretty much anything except death metal - too much shouting, not enough music. Check out my Last.fm acct for ideas if you want.

2. A new header
I pretty much just revolve the ones I have already, I'm in love with Before Sunset, Before Sunrise, Waitress, One Tree Hill, Greys Anatomy, Alias, Heroes, Gilmore Girls and Bones so you couldn't go wrong with them but my interests and ships are in my profile.

3. Good fic rec's 
Gilmore Girls (nothing Rory/Logan-ish), Dawsons Creek, Dr Who, One Tree Hill, Alias, Roswell and Whedonverse. I'm pretty easy when it comes to characters/ships, so as long as it's well written I'll give it a go.

4. Links to The Mountain episodes
I lost mine :(

6. Scarves
I love them, different colours, styles, lengths, whatever. I don't think anyone can have too many scarves

7. New LJ friends
I love the ones I have but I've recently really got back into LJ after not being on it for a while and I'd love to see some new faces on my friends page.

10. Talk to someone at work/college/uni/home/town you wouldn't normally talk to.
You never know, you might make a really good friend.....ok, you may end up talking to some weirdo too but carpe diem!

I know some people would find me weird but I do think Queens would hold my attention more than Manhattan. From what I've seen in pics/movies/etc it's so commercialised and busy.

9. Berkeley, California, for sure. Maybe I'm a little biased because I grew up in the area, but I LOVE Berkeley. Telegraph Ave. has a ton of amazing shops and restaurants with just a great lively atmosphere, but so does Shattuck (I ate one of the most delicious sandwiches ever at a restaurant called Jupiter) and North Berkeley is a little fancier and a little less hippie.

Carmel, CA is one of the most adorable towns I've ever been to. I just want to give it a hug. It's almost right on the beach and close to Monterey, which is also nice but a bit more tourist-y.

8. What sort of places in the US and Canada would you like to see? Touristy? Natural beauty? Lots of night life?

Here's a couple that you may not think of:
Prince Edward Island, Canada -- My family and I visited after loving the Anne of Green Gables books. There is a lot of Anne stuff, but it is also absolutely beautiful there. Great lobster too!

Finger Lakes Region of upstate New York (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finger_Lakes) -- lots of tourist spots and very pretty

I'm pretty easygoing on where I'd like to visit, I like to visit really different places so some touristy and busy but I love little towns with independent shops/bars etc.

I really like the look of Finger Lakes. I love seeing historic details of places, there's barely anything historic about where I live.

My tried and true Buffy recommendation is Jet Wolf's The Chosen (http://www.btvschosen.com) virtual series. It picks up where the show left off at the end of s7 and currently is mid-s9. It's kind of stalled out right now, but she promises that she hasn't abandoned it. Just slow going at the moment.

And a self-pimp: my FF.net profile (http://www.fanfiction.net/u/446960/Ta1u1a). I had my own archive with a few more Whedonverse fics than what's there on FF.net, but my domain expired and I haven't moved the site to the new one yet. There's one Firefly and a handful of BtVS (Willow/Tara focus mostly with one Buffy/Tara).

St. Louis, MO is the 14th (I think) largest city in the U.S., and I think it gets overlooked all too often. It's a great city with plenty to do if you know where to look. If you choose to go there and want ideas of what to check out, let me know.
