I think this is a wonderful community.

1. I'd like $1 scratch-off lottery tickets. I'm working two full time jobs and am a full time college student in my senior year; I'm struggling to pay off my bills from my time abroad. If I could win even just a dollar or two off the lottery tickets, it'd really, really help. I'll split anything I win from each ticket with whomever sent it to me (like in "It Could Happen To You", I really will do this).

2. I love reception stick candies. They remind me of my grandmother, who's deceased. I've had no luck in finding them around here, and I'd love to have them this holiday season to remind me of her. I also love candy canes and Andes Mints for this time of the year!

3. I'd really love a mix-cd of my favorite Christmas tunes (which, if you'd be able to do for me, I'd email you to tell you which songs I'd love to have), and another cd which I have the play-list in mind for (songs that remind me of my time abroad).

4. For everyone to throw some money into the Salvation Army collection buckets, whenver you pass one. Even if it's only a few cents, it truly does make a difference.

5. For everyone to keep the spirit of the holidays alive during the whole year (being very excited to see friends and family, emphasis on others over self, etc).

I can guarantee that anyone who sends me something will receive a very heartful snail mail card in return. Also, if anyone is interested, I have tons of postcards, maps, pins, patches, etc. from my travels that I'd love to pass along.

If you'd like to send me something, here is my address (be sure and include your return address, so I can send you something back):
Box 5595 Alumni Quad
1400 Washington Avenue
Albany, New York

I also think that this community should remain in effect after the holidays, as a sort of re-gifting haven. I know that I always get high-quality, very nice things that I seldom have use for, and I'd much rather pass them along than let them collect dust in my house.

Have a great holiday!

What songs are you looking for? Also, I'm in Albany too. Where have you looked for the reception sticks? I may have some ideas where else you can check.

The Christmas Tree Shop, up at Colonie Center Mall, frequently has unusual snacky type things/gift foods. Less likely, but still possible is Harry & David's in Crossgates.

Good luck!
