Koinaka's wishlist.
Dec. 1st, 2008 01:57 pmI love this community. Seriously. I have participated for the last several years and I hope to participate in the future. That being said, I'm a 25 year old college student majoring in English with minors in Creative Writing and Philosophy. On to the list:
1. Paid LJ time. Someone bought this for me last year and seriously made my day. Seriously.
2. Anything related to Violins. I've wanted to play since I was a child and I'm about to start lessons for the first time. As I'm sure anyone who has played violin knows, this is an expensive venture, so any old beginner books, music, ANYTHING that you think might be useful, I would appreciate. Even if it is just advice and/or recommendations on music to listen to... :D
3. Anything related to the Catholic Church/Catholicism. I've recently began exploring Catholicism and attending mass, and I am completely in awe. I would love to convert and plan to do so as soon as the classes at the local cathedral begin, but until then anything that may be useful to someone new is appreciated. Even if it is just an e-pal to lend support. My family is Southern Baptist and doesn't "get" why I would want to convert, so they aren't very supportive at all.
4. LJ friends/AIM friends. I hope to be a better LJer in the coming year, and I would LOVE new friends.
5. Fanfic or fanfic recommendations. I read and write tons of fanfic and I could use new fics always. My fandoms are Twilight and Harry Potter. In Twilight, the pair that I would LOVE fanfic for is Bella/Carlisle, Bella/Aro, or Bella/Demetri. I love uncanon pairs. (obviously) With Harry, it's mostly slash: Harry/Voldemort are my favorite, but I enjoy others as well. I would love to read any Harry/Neville (there isn't much of this at all!)
6. Recommendations for new books or music.
7. Icons/graphics for Harry Potter or Twilight. Preferably for my uncanon pairs. I have some listed above.
8. Join my community
breathewriting ! I just created it today to post my fanfics as well as my original fiction along with anyone else who would like to post. I live for feedback (it's really quite pathetic). Lol.
9. Anything related to knitting. I have been wanting to learn for a while so any paraphenalia you are not currently using would be lovely. Yarn, needles, what have you.
10. Pay it forward.
