holidaywishesmy name is Leesuh and i'm a 20 year old from Southern California. i've done this before, but i've been lame about it.. so i'm going to try again. i'll do my best to grant the wishes i promise. rawr! anyhow, i'm a World of Warcraft nerd. i just picked up an acoustic guitar to learn to play. here's to hoping i don't kill my fingers too much on strings! ;)
to the list.
1: Guitar sheet music and instruction books. i already have Guitar for Dummies, but i'm always open to new styles of learning. as for sheet music, i'm big on James Taylor, Fleetwood Mac, and, well. if you have a favorite, send it along! new music is exciting.
2: Holiday cards. as per usual! i love cards. they're so nice to give and receive.
3: Ornaments for my wonderously fake tree. this is the first year i get to have a holiday tree. i was raised Jewish and my parents were against having a tree for the holidays, no matter if i called it a Chanukkah tree or Chanukkah bush. i bought this tree from Target, the cheapest one of the bunch. dammit.. no matter how cheesy it looks, i still love it. ornaments would make it all the more lovely.
4: Donate to the AIDS research. there must be a cure.
5: Vinyl records. a close family friend gave me a cute little record player and i love records! from musicals to 80s pop.. i'll take it all! if you have some Cyndi Lauper.. guh. XD all that you're willing to part with, i'll happily take.
6: World of Warcraft lore books. Christie Golden writes a bunch of WoW books, and there are thick compilations, such as War of the Ancients. the Well of Eternity and War of the Ancients are some i don't have; Lord of the Clans and Rise of the Horde i do have. hell, i'll take used copies. they're full of love.
7: Musicals in different languages. this i'm big on. i have CATS in about 11 different recordings, RENT in German, and Les Miserables in a couple other languages. new languages in my beloved musicals is a thrill.
8: Tea blooms and tea in general. tea blooms are little bulbs of flowers that, when you place in a teapot and pour hot water over it, will bloom and make tea. it's a gorgeous sight. and as far as regular tea.. i like peppermint, green, some black teas.. but if you have something you like and want to share it, sure thing.
9: Hugs and acts of kindness. once i held open a door for a lady on our way out of the mall. she blinked in surprise, and turned to me after i closed it. "You're not from California, are you?" "Beg pardon? I'm a native." "I've never seen anyone open a door for me or someone else here. Thank you." so break that barrier and hold open doors, pick up dropped items and return to the person with a smile, and hug a good friend or family member. smiles are wonders.
10: Treat yourself, and let me know how it went. bad day? need a pick-me-up? go and pamper yourself, and tell me what you did. whether it be a bubble bath with bath bombs or some ice cream or a walk around the park, anything you did to cheer yourself up works for me.
