Hello! My name is Lindsey, I am 20, and I (proudly) live in Massachusetts, relatively near Boston. I am a junior in college and am just recovering from a surgery following a lengthy hospital stay. I will try to help you with a wish if you help me, but I make no promises... look at my userinfo to get a better idea of the kind of person I am, my interests, etc.

1. Please donate to Angels Above, located at http://www.angelsabovecharity.org/. I was recently in Mass General for a month, and was lucky enough to be on the pediatric floor. This charity works with the Child Life specialists on the floors to try and make hospital stays a little easier on the children and families involved. They were really good to me, and I want everyone to be really good to them too!
2. Christmas/Hanukkah cards! I celebrate both holidays and love getting mail!
3. Anything with the shape of a star. I love stars. Last year, I asked for stars and got star-shaped beads that I put onto a keychain!
4. Anything related to the television series Friday Night Lights. I have season one on DVD (used), and would totally take a used season two off your hands if you’re looking to unload it. I need to catch up before season three comes to NBC.
5. A Starbucks gift card. Starbucks has now been reintroduced into my diet. Those darn holiday drinks are so addictive, hmn?
6. Journals/pretty notebooks. They would go to good use, I promise. I’m in college and use notebooks.
7. Socks! I love unique socks. Toe socks, fuzzy socks, striped socks, knee socks and regular-socks. Target has cute ones!
8. Sephora giftcards. I really want to start wearing makeup, and I like the quality of Sephora’s products. I, however, cannot afford it without a little help, so anything would be appreciated.
9. I want to be a librarian. I am going to school now to get a BLA (my concentrations are history and English) and then plan on going to grad school to be a librarian! Anything librarian related, library-related would be kind of cool. I once saw a t-shirt that said “Bookworms are sexy” and liked that!
10. Things that are sparkly and cute. I like knickknacks and have a shelf in my room at school of pretty things.

Boston is my favorite city in the world :-). I'm so proud to be from Boston! Only problem is that it's pretty chilly in winter, and I don't do so well in the cold. It makes it tough to walk around and enjoy Boston!

Is it easy for college students to get jobs? I heard it'd be silly to buy a car because of all the public transportation.

College students have jobs all over the place in Boston! A lot of them work in restaurants or work retail, and there's plenty of both in the city! Also, Starbucks seems to be a pretty big college kid employer.

The public transportation system, the MBTA, (we call it The T) is pretty awesome. If there isn't a train going where you want, there's likely to be a bus. The commuter rail can take you all the way out of the city and into the suburbs, if you're interested in visiting places like Rockport or Salem.

I think it's easy to meet people. Just keep an open mind and an open heart!

For fun in Boston? I shop, I eat... that's a big one. I love just walking around the city and discovering new things I didn't know about (I found a sushi place that way!). I like to people-watch, too. When it's nice out, I like to go to the Common and sit and people-watch.

There's a lot of people in Boston, and I'm pretty sure you can find any religion! Stereotypically, Boston is Irish Catholic, but there are plenty of other religions and religious establihments in the city and nearby towns.
