Edgebot's Wish List
Dec. 2nd, 2008 01:20 pmHappy Holiday to everyone! This is my first year participating in this, and I'm already having fun answering some wishes :)
My wish list :)
1. A home for Max. Max is a stray cat that someone dropped on my block around 2 months ago. We've been feeding him for a little over a month, but he's been staying outside. Max is desperate for an inside home, but ever time he sneaks in he goes after my cats. He's lovable, very vocal, and is just desperate to be a lap cat in someone's home (preferably as the only kittie). He's a little under a year old, is all white with beautiful green eyes, and has started getting a bit pudgy :) Max is located 3 hours from Atlanta, GA, 1 hour from Chattanooga, TN, and 2 hours from Birmingham, AL if you're around this area and want to add a kittie desperate for a lap to lounge in to your home.
2. Cards! Christmas cards, postcards, whatever! I just like getting mail :)
3. Holiday music. I love it! I have a lot of the oldies w/ Judy Garland, Bing Crosby, Nat King Cole, Elvis, etc., but I'm a little lacking on the newer or not as well known stuff. If you want to post a single song that you love or a whole mix tape of holiday tunes, I'd love to listen to it :)
4. Christmas ornaments, especially The Peanuts ones or the retro ones from the 50's or 60's. Handmade is super cool, too :)
5. Starbuck aka Kara Thrace of Battlestar Galatica. Or you know, anything that has her on it, if the real thing is not available :) Icons, wallpaper, whatever-- if it has her on it, I can stare for ages :)
6. I love books, and I'm on BookMooch and PaperBackSwap. I would really get a kick out of knowing people from lj who are already on the sites, or if you want to sign up at PBS, I can get points for referring you :)
7. Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab scents. I don't have any, and I've never smelt them, but I would like to try some of their scents. I can't stand the smell of patchouli, but anything else is good. The swap sites for their stuff have got me thinking this stuff must be pretty awesome :)
8. Advice! I'd like to buy a new MacBook, but they're running about $1500 for something that's not completely bare bones. Any advice from MacBook owners on what I should get or help in finding discounts or sales on them ($1100 would be much more doable :) would be much appreciated. My current laptop requires a desktop monitor to work, so I'm hoping to get one by New Years :)
9. Donate to your local Humane Society or No Kill Shelter.
10. Virtual work-out buddy for Curves. It's the only place in town that isn't mostly guy weightlifters, so I'm trying to get in shape the Curves way. If you're doing the same, esp. without a real life work out buddy (like me), maybe we can help keep each other motivated!

As for #9 - that's awesome of you! I'm such a huge believer in adopting from and donating to shelters -- all 3 of my cats were shelter kitties :)
