Hi, My name is Barb, I Live in NC in the mountains, and am posting for some small wishes this year, nothing big but here goes.

1. that everyone make some kind of go green effort, be it recycling or picking up trash to smoking outdoors.

2.that familys try and get along for the holidays, sometimes family is all we have and we tend to forget that and fight for silly reasons.

3. if anyone has anything native american, books, pictures, dvds, anything native american.

4.People that have mental disorders to chat with

5.Books I Love books please look at my wish list and see if you can send me one. And used is fine as long as it is in readable condition!

6.anything pegasus

7. for true happiness for everyone everwhere if even for but a day

8.My space friends, i love making friends ( Online ) just ask for my myspace name

9. and for People to make donations to salvation army or toys for tots so those who can not afford these things can have at least a small but merry christmas.

10. and for people to stop taking advantage of others, and to respect others and to be greatful and thanful for even the smallest things like water, I lived 3 years without power and water and saw how so many take such small things for granted, now i am in a good place in my life and want to remind others that to stop and smell the roses, take time to notice the small things and slow down a little life passes to fast to not stop and notice.

and last but least pictures of nature, any types, postcards or calendars anything nature...i love nature

Yes going green is the best effort we can all make to save a little of the earth for our future children. Families take so much for granted, they fight and fuss over the smallest things that tear families apart, remember they wont always be there dont take them for granted..And the donation for toys for toys thats Awesome, Thats another great program so unfortunate families get help for the holidays, thank you so much for making a effort, if everone would make a effort the world would be a better place.

I will make a donation to the Salvation Army tomorrow when I walk by on my way to work, and think of you.

I am also trying to be green in walking to work. It's a couple miles, but I'm feeling a difference. It feels good to not rely on a car. I'll use your wish as the motivation to keep me walking through the winter as well!

many years when my kids were little the salvation army helped me, I would love for others to return the favor to others who are in need, I donated 5$ myself, it wasnt much but it was all i could do. and Thanks for walking, I know its gotta be hard especially when its so cold, but It so helps the atmosphere, this is our home and if we dont start taking steps now to take care of it it wont be here for our great grandkids! youre actions are greatly appreciated by me! and Have a GREAT Holiday!

#1 I've recently started making a bigger effort when I go shopping for groceries. A friend once informed me that when the industry recycles plastics, they have to actually include about half "new plastic" to the recycled plastic, AND that the plant still produces a lot of pollution in the process. SO... instead of buying my orange juice in a plastic container, I get the cardboard one 'cause we know paper products break down quicker than plastic ever will. So out of $50 of groceries in Walmart, I had only one thing in a plastic container (spices). I recycle the glass bottles and aluminum I use. AND I make crafts out of the bottlecaps from my glass bottle sodas and beers. :) Anyway, I wanted to share that with others - Its good to be green and its good to share ideas on HOW to be GREEN. :)

Thats awesome, I do things like that as well, i try to stay away from the plastic bags, Its wonderful that you recycle, i am going to start doing it here as soon as i can afford to get the containers, Our trash pick up dosent do recycling but you can seperate it and take it youreself, Thanks for sharing youre Idea!!!

i walk to work everyday actually .. i dont take the bus or drive which is hard sometimes but i do it for my health and the worlds as well

Thank you....Walking is great excercise! i cant walk far I wish i could due to fibromyalgia and chronic fatiuge, i cant do a lot, But I love to read thats why i posted a book wish list! Thanks for youre contribution to go green and the salvation army!

Volenteering is a great thing to do as well, as they always need help this time of year, I kinda envy you as i wish i could do things like that But I am home bound most of the time and dont go out much, but I am glad someone is taking the time to volenteer! Hip Hip Horray for you!!!

Haha, thank you. I'm not going to enjoy the cold either, seeing as I hate it, but I will do my best to bundle up! Yeah, I'm usually home bound as well. I live in the country and don't have a car, so I can't get many places.
