Hello everyone,
I'm a 22y/o Georgia girl and this is my third year participating in this community. I love being able to do what I can to make other Christmas wishes come true, and I'm especially looking forward to it this year as this will my first Christmas alone. Snail mail surprises go a long way towards keeping the Christmas spirit. :-)
Here are my wishes for 2008:
1. Snail mail
There is not enough snail mail in the world. I would love your Christmas cards, letters, postcards, secrets, doodles, or anything else worthy of being tucked away in an envelope.
2. Gourmet chocolate
I am a huge fan of good chocolate and I will try anything you send! I have to go easy on milk, though (dairy allergy), so my favorites are dark chocolate or (hard to find but amazingly good) rice milk chocolate.
3. Mix CDS
I have discovered so many wonderful artists through mix CDs I've received from friends and kind strangers. My tastes tend to run towards indie rock/folk (Coldplay, Iron & Wine, Vienna Teng, Sarah McLachlan, etc.) but I will listen to anything except for rap/heavy metal. I also adore Irish music and movie soundtrack-esque instrumentals.
4. Sakura Gelly Roll pens
Gelly Roll pens are my mainstay for writing and journaling; I love the colors and how smoothly they write. I'd be happy for any but I'd especially love the Dark Stardust pens, which are apparently not sold anywhere within a 100mile radius of my town!
5. Knee socks
I'm an avid mounted games player and, well, we're all a bit obsessed with wearing crazy knee socks to play in. The more outrageous the colors, the better. :-)
6. Easy knitting patterns
I've just begun learning to knit and would love your favorite beginner friendly patterns - especially for winter hats.
7. Earrings
Stud earrings would be especially lovely as I can't wear dangly earrings on the job; my collection of interesting stud earrings is woefully small!
8. Breyer horses of any kind
This one is a bit of a long shot, but I have never given up my love of Breyer models and still collect them in the extremely rare moments that my finances allow it. I'd give a good home to Breyer horses of any size and any condition, even battered and broken!
9. Donations to nanowrimo.org
I just finished my first year doing NaNoWriMo and can't say enough good things about the program. They gladly accept donations of any size and are still short of the amount needed to do it all again next year.
10. Deep breaths!
The holidays can be busy and stressful, but I hope everyone is able to pause for a moment, take a deep breath, look past the consumerism and the crazy calendar, and enjoy all the peace and love of the holiday season. ♥

Best wishes to all!

Date: 2008-12-05 11:59 pm (UTC)I was going through the lists over at Holiday_Wishes and something you asked for caught my eye.
Could you please email me at smallwaldo at gmail dot com and send me a snail mail address?
(and also, because I'm a huge flake, could you please put your LJ name and/or a link back to your list in the same email so I'm sure to match up the right list with the address. Thanks!)
Waldo. (thefannishwaldo)
