Hmmm, let's see....

EDIT: totally forgot to introduce myself so adding an intro. :)

Hi, I'm Ana. 25 years old and currently in Maryland. I've been doing Holiday Wishes for a few years now and it's always a lot of fun so naturally I felt I should do it again. :D I've got a kitten who likes to chase my dog's tail and I've been re-taking horse riding lessons since February and volunteering at a local draft horse rescue since July or so. So a couple of my wishes have to do with the animals in my life. ;) A couple of them are wishes I totally don't expect to happen, but hey...wishing, right? A couple are related to the writing and rping I do and then a couple are just...hey, I like shiny things. :D So that's me. Happy Holidays and have fun wishing!

o1. Anything off my Etsy favorites list. - It gets changed up pretty often but it's a pretty good measure of the things I like. :)

o2. For people to donate to Gentle Giants Draft Horse Rescue. This is a great rescue that gets draft horses (the big guys, most people are familiar with the Budweiser Clydesdales but Clydes are just one breed classified as draft) headed to slaughter at auction (many people believe horses in the U.S. don't go to slaughter anymore since the plants were closed but instead horses are bought up and shipped to Mexico or Canada so it still happens), owner surrenders, and other not-so-good situations. They then evaluate the horses for riding ability and put training on those who need it as well as vet care and so on. These are not horses just sitting around in a field. :) Anyway, hay prices are up, more people are getting rid of horses than there are those buying them and so on, so if people could help out these wonderful animals, that'd be awesome. (Disclaimer: I am a volunteer for the rescue.) Alternatively, you could purchase something from the charity section of my etsy shop and all of the proceeds (less paypal/etsy fees) go straight to the rescue.

o3. A pony. Well, a horse. I don't actually expect this one to get granted, but it must be said. :)

o4. James Franco. (see no. o3)

o5. A DDR game for my PS2 that works.

o6. Fiction! About [livejournal.com profile] trickster_loki or [livejournal.com profile] raith_wraith or [livejournal.com profile] morally_cryptic, [livejournal.com profile] vermiliondesert, [livejournal.com profile] corvids_corpus, or [livejournal.com profile] spook_angel especially.

o7. Paid time for any my character journals (or mine). See above for usernames. (thanks to [livejournal.com profile] kikibug13 who paid for [livejournal.com profile] raith_wraith.) :)

o8. Anything off my Amazon wishlist.

o9. Art! Especially the kind to hang on walls! Or to act as switchplate covers for my lightswitches! Or to hang in a window and look pretty!

1o. Cat (for my kitten), Dog (for my saint of a dog), and/or horse (for the guys at the rescue) treats. :)

Getting the horse is the easy part! :P The expensive part is keeping it!

We have an OTTB (off the track thoroughbred) who was a good racer- but as many of them have happen, after her career, she's essentially valueless- except to those who wuv her of course!

It costs us 350.00 or so a month to just board and hay-feed her, plus another 50 or so in combined costs like extra food, wormer, basic vetting, farrier, etc.

She's a LOVE, and I don't regret it, but as we're kind of poor, it REALLY takes a chunk out of living expenses! (and yes, that's her in the icon.)
