I was debating whether or not to make any holiday wishes this year, but it is as much a tradition for me now as NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) that I couldn't not.

So, without further ado, here are my 2008 Holiday Wishes:
1. Serenity on DVD. I love the series Firefly and this movie, but only have the series. I would love a copy of the movie.

2. Earrings. Preferably dangly ones. And I love bright colors!

3. Stationary. Pens, pencils, little notebooks, binders, paper, cards, anything! I use them pretty frequently, so am always looking for more.

4. Stickers. I love to close my envelopes with stickers. It is a habit I got in when I lived overseas, and can't seem to break myself of.

5. The new editions of any of the LJ Smith books. I used to have the Night World books when I was a teenager, but they were damaged in 2005, and I miss them.

6. Wall-E on DVD. This movie was just too cute!

7. Gift cards for Target - I do so much shopping there.

8. Restaurant or grocery store gift cards: I am in the New Orleans area, so something that is there, please!

9. Money to help me get my newest kitten spayed. She and her brothers and sisters were left in a box at my neighbor's workplace, and no one wanted the little black one with white paws. Poor baby. But now, I need to get her shots and get her fixed. Any amount of money would be appreciated. I may be able to re-open my paypal account for this, if need be.

10. Donations to ARNO - Animal Rescue of New Orleans. They do incredible work with the abandoned and feral animals in the area, and are a no-kill shelter. As always, any little bit helps. If you are in the area, or want to ship things there, they can always use things like old towels and blankets.

Check out http://www.friendsofanimals.org/programs/spay-neuter/index.html for low cost spay/neuter programs. You can buy a certficate from them and use it at a local participating vet. That's the most help I can give you right now as we had our own rescue kitten this fall that we shelled out over $1000 for all his medical stuff. The certificate should help you lower the cost though!

(And also.. "spayed" is the past tense of "to spay" -- a "spade" is that black leaf looking thing on a playing card)
