The most wonderful time of the year
Dec. 5th, 2008 10:34 pmHi, I'm Jenna. I'm a 19-year-old student from Michigan, and I was involved with this community last year and it was so much fun! I've been looking around for wishes I can grant. Here's my list of things that would make me super happy this holiday season. :]
1. Tea. My very favorite kind is black. I would love individually-wrapped teabags of just anything you have lying around.
2. Rename token for LJ.
3. Scarves. Any kind - I love them and wanna stay warm this winter!
4. Jewelry. It can be old jewelry you don't wear anymore.
5. Anything Rainkissed Leaves from Bath and Body Works.
6. This pendant from Etsy.
7. The Pact or Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult (can be used, in fact, I prefer it!).
8. If you live near the ocean, I want to hear your story. I love the ocean but I’ve never seen it in person, so I’d love to have the next best thing: tangible photographs you’ve taken and some words on the back that make me feel like I’m there.
9. This shirt from Threadless in a Women’s size Medium (short-sleeved).
10. Mix CDs.
Please e-mail me at stateofbalance at gmail dot com for my address! Thank you, and I hope you all have a fantastic holiday! ♥

oceans!
Date: 2008-12-06 06:46 pm (UTC)I've visited friends who live near the Atlantic, & we walked in the surf on Cape Cod -- not as warm as the Gulf, but not cold either. The Atlantic's waves looked more gentle than the Pacific.
My husband & I visited Normandy in France & saw the D-Day beaches. Imagining hundreds of soldiers landing in those waves was heart-breaking.
Then we traveled to Antarctica on a little ship from the tip of Argentina. The ocean there has the roughest waters on Earth! And when you get closer to the Antarctic peninsula, icebergs dot the water. That was the thrill of a lifetime.
I hope you can visit an ocean soon. They're beautiful things -- the biggest & most powerful part of our planet :-)
