Hello everyone :) I'm Lauren, 23 from New Jersey...I've participated in this a few times and, despite being a broke as a joke college grad who's working a job she loves but doesn't pay amazingly, I want to grant as many wishes as I can this year. I wanted to share my list, too, and would be completely thrilled if someone could grant even one of mine!

1. General mail is pretty awesome...I love postcards in particular!

2. Foreign things…coins, trinkets, etc. I'm particularly interested in things from Russia, Germany and Mexico. I especially love Mexican religious type things (like stuff you see here) and anything related to Dia De Los Muertos/Day of the Dead…particularly calaca statues!

3. Colored Sharpies! I have this bad habit of buying and losing Sharpies…so I feel guilty buying more. Buuuuut, if they’re gifted to me, that’s a different story ;)

4. Scarves. I’m on a real scarf kick…hand knitted scarves, the ~*~trendy~*~ fashion scarves, etc.

5. Any sort of little things related to stuff I like…especially my favorite TV shows, movies and music (see my last.fm page or my user info for an idea of what I watch and listen to!). It could be a sticker of a band I like or magazine clippings related to The Office or an icon of an actor I like…anything like that.

6. Anything involving my four favorite things beginning with the letter P: pandas, pineapples, paisley, and purple (Though I have to request no stuffed pandas, please, as my collection is getting a bit out of control, haha)

7. Homemade crafty or artsy things…paintings, jewelry, wood crafts, collages. I suck at most crafts so I really and truly appreciate it when people make me things!

8. BPAL!  I've only recently become addicted and I've had only so-so luck with most of the imps I have :\ I like anything that smells clean, citrus scents, green scents, some florals, etc. I also find I like most BPAL vanillas. Some things I've found I like are Mouse's Long and Sad Tale, Antique Lace (probably my favorite of everything), Ode on Melancholy, Persephone, and Embalming Fluid.

9. I would love it if someone who knows a lot about digital cameras and digital photography could help me make a decision about what type of digital camera to buy. There are so many different brands and models that do so many different things that it's overwhelming to try and narrow down my choices. Camera shopping hard :|

10. Do something nice for animals…put a bird feeder in your yard, drop some old towels or blankets off to your local shelter, adopt a dog or cat!

http://www.dpreview.com is a GREAT site that helps you learn a lot about the available cameras on today's market. Though it's not quite as good as dealing with a pro who can give you personal feedback, his detailed reviews can give you a great sense of whether or not a certain model is what you're looking for :) The author of the site is admittedly a bit biased towards Nikon cameras, but if you ask me that's simply because they're just better ;)

3. What size Sharpies were you looking for? I have a bunch of the ultra fine point (the ones that are a little too thick to be called a pen, but are definitely more like a pen than a marker) that are very pretty, but a little too light for writing on CDs and DVDs.
