Hi everyone! My name is Kia and I’m a junior in college. This is my second year participating in this community, and I think it’s a fantastic idea – the whole thing is just one warm fuzzy feeling to me, and I love it.
That (rather short) introduction said, I too have a wish list:
One: A Nintendo DS. I love the idea of Brain Age and Elite Beat Agents, but I have no way to go about playing them. Used, new, Lite, classic, whatever you have I will gladly take with thanks.
Two: Paid time for my LJ. I’ve become incredibly fond of my userpics and the ability to expand comment threads.
Three: These iPod speakers. I’ve been looking for a good pair of speakers for a while, and these are just the right size and amuse me like none other.
Four: Anything off my Gamma Phi Beta wish list. I’m a proud sister in my sorority and I love the site hosting the stuff. I also have a coupon code for the site – email or message me for it. The link to the site is here, and the wish list number is 1201713.
Five: Atmosfear: The Harbingers. My friend has this game, and we both love it even though it’s old. I’d love to play it again and to introduce it to my new circle of friends.
Six: DDR games. I’ve never been one for the gym, so I play DDR every morning as a workout. I love the games I have (Maxx 2 and Extreme), but I’ve about memorized them and would love some variety. Either new or used is great.
Seven: Fun stuff! Surprise me, but here’s the catch – it shouldn’t cost you a thing. I’m talking icons, fun pictures, stories you’ve written or found, whatever makes you smile.
Eight: This is a bit of a pie in the sky wish, but plane tickets to Texas. I miss my Big, she’s in Texas, and…yes. I’d love to see her again.
Nine: I have a friend who is a fantastic artist and she’s having an art sale here. She does art, chain mail, knitting, plushies…she’s also incredibly reasonably priced. Please, stop by and take a look at her stuff, maybe even buy something…because, y’know, she’s awesome. :D
Ten: Another total pie in the sky wish, but a Kindle. As a techie and an avid reader, the Kindle makes me an incredibly happy camper.
If you’d like to contact me, my email is fixingthefrog @ comcast . net. Thank you so much for reading and let me know if there’s anything I can do for you this season!

ETA: Links are working now. Sorry 'bout that!

A funny
Date: 2008-12-13 09:50 am (UTC)In summary, the police arrested Patrick Lawrence, a 22-year-old white male, resident of Dacula, GA, in a pumpkin patch at 11:38 p.m. on Friday.
Lawrence will be charged with lewd and lascivious behavior, public indecency, and public intoxication at the Gwinnett County courthouse on Monday.
The suspect explained that as he was passing a pumpkin patch he decided to stop. "You know, a pumpkin is soft and squishy inside, and there was no one around here for miles. At least I thought there wasn't," he stated in a phone interview.
Lawrence went on to say that he pulled over to the side of the road, Picked out a pumpkin that he felt was appropriate to his purposes, cut a hole in it, and proceeded to satisfy his need. "I guess I was just really into it, you know?" he commented with evident embarrassment.
In the process, Lawrence apparently failed to notice a Gwinnett County police car approaching and was unaware of his audience until Officer Brenda Taylor approached him. "It was an unusual situation, that's for sure," said Officer Taylor. "I walked up to (Lawrence) and he's... just working away at this pumpkin."
Taylor went on to describe what happened when she approached Lawrence. "I just went up and said, 'Excuse me sir, but do you realize that you are screwing a pumpkin?' He froze and was clearly very surprised that I was there, and then looked me straight in the face and said, 'A pumpkin? Darn...is it midnight already?"

Date: 2008-12-14 01:26 am (UTC)Since the first time I saw you, I felt an attraction.
My heart beats with every breath you take.
To even be near you makes my day complete.
I wake up happy, just because I know you exist along with me.
Affection doesn't describe my feelings for you.
I call you, and when you pick up the phone I get all choked up inside.
When I try to talk to you, nothing seems to come out right.
I watch you pass me by everyday, and that just tears me apart.
But it's not your fault you don't feel the same way I do.
So I want to apologize for all the stupid things that I've done.
And since were going to trial tomorrow, I just wanted to say I 'm sorry
I burned down your house.
This poem is titled: Fatal Attraction or with Love, from your Psychotic Admirer. This was written by my best friend's sister. This was published a few years ago in a local potery book.
I don't know if there is anything you can do but you can take a peek at my list HERE (http://community.livejournal.com/holiday_wishes/1442174.html)
