Holiday Wishes for my Kids
Dec. 12th, 2008 10:57 pm1. Go and buy something at the Kids Need To Read Holiday Store. Tell 'em Mirriam "Mousie" Hamilton sent you.
2. Make a donation to Parents and Researchers Interested In Smith Magenis Syndrome (PRISMS) in Mousie's name.
3. Mousie has some unique ways to self-soothe. One is to hold a bundle of strung beads, and bits of string and yarn. She really loves her "Beads and String!" Unfortunately, some of the beads and strings needed to be thrown away recently, and she's been very sad. If you have any old strings of costume beads, or if you knit and have some 1-2 ft lengths of cool yarn left, we could rebuild her stash.
4. Mousie also loves to play dress up! Old flowy skirts, scarves, blouses, anything that she can dress up in, would be cool.
Mousie's sister Pookie also has SMS in a milder form. Pookie is 14, and a perky goth girl. Stuff for Pookie would be:
5. Gothy fingernail polish.
6. Pictures of Fairies or Not-bloody-gore vampires for her walls.
7. Homemade hairfalls.
Tiffer is the older brother, and he's a geek. Tiffer would like
8. Magic Cards, any old kind
9. Old computer adventure games.
OK, so I guess I need to put something for the hubby and I on here. Ummm... can't think of anything. Cross your fingers that we can get the services we need for Mousie without hubby having to quit his job so we're poor and she qualifies for Medicaid?
For mailing address, I can be contacted at elerihamilton at gmail dot com
Happy, wonderful Holiday-of-your-choice, everyone!
