Happy Holidays time!
Dec. 14th, 2008 11:44 pmI haven't done this in a few years, because I was unable to grant wishes, and I felt back putting my list out there without being able to give back.
This year, however, is a different story, so here's my list! :o)
1. Books. I'm on a book obsession. I currently have over 40 books checked out from the library and I love reading. If you have any old books lying around that you've read and don't think you'll read again, please send them my way and when I'm thru, I can pass them along to another avid reader, donate them to my library, or return them back to you if you want! If you can't part with your books, please give me suggestions so I can try to track them down at my library.
2. Nail Polish. I have 2 bottles and they are the exact same color ( I have no idea how it happened!) But if you got a bottle, and realized that you didn't really like the color, please pass it along to me. I don't mind if it's been used, as long as it's fairly new and not years and years old! I'm open to any colors. I go through phases. Sometimes, I like to do a dark red/burgandy, and other times, I like the palest pink possible...I'm not picky.
3. Anything Red Sox related. Stickers, pictures, baseball cards, links to cool Red Sox blogs, or websites. I'm kind of a fanatic. Even if you're just a fan yourself...say hi. There's no such thing as too many Red Sox fans!
4. Random care package. I love surprises. Throw together anything that you can find that might be cute Christmasy things. Things that you like and would love to get in a care package. Anything at all.
5. Address Book. If you have an old address book lying around that you don't use(preferably not used, but I can rip out used pages, if it's all you have), I'd love to have it. I wanted to send out Christmas cards this year, but I didn't have anyone's address, so my goal is to collect addresses throughout the year and have a full book for cards next year! (Ditto on b-day cards!)
6. Chocolate. Not just any old chocolate. A kind of chocolate that might be particular to your area, that I wouldn't be able to get in Orlando, FL. I'm all about trying new things...especially if that new thing is chocolate!
7. A jewelry box. I need a jewelry box orr chest that has places for rings, earrings, bracelets, watches, and most importantly necklaces. I can never find a box good enough (or big enough) to keep the necklaces organized. If you don't have one that you can part with, PLEASE hook me up with a link to where I can get one!! I'm in dire need and it drives me crazy to try and untangle necklaces when I'm trying to figure out what I want to wear.
8. Jewlery. Nothing fancy, anything will do. I love chunky bracelets and rings. Anything you don't wear anymore, I know I certainly have enough of old junky jewelry that I have cycled through and am done with, and will be passing on to another wish-lister. But I'd like some new stuff to wear throughout the year.
9. Hoops & Yoyo cards. I am obsessed with these guys, all of their cards CRACK ME UP. I will laugh for hours in the card aisle. When I buy them for people, I don't sign them, I stick a post it on them to sign them because I don't want to defile their funniness! My mom just sent me one for my birthday and did the same post it trick because she knows I love them. Any kind of their cards...birthday, christmas, just for kicks, etc.
10. Post-it notes. I'm a little obsessed and I love Post-it notes. All I seem to have left in my drawer are the regular square ones, so I'm interested in cute shapes/colors/sizes etc of Post-it notes. Of course I'll take ANY kind because I'm that obsessed, but if you have some lying around that you'r enot using, I'll take them off your hands!!
My email is sariah8 at gmail dot com. If you can grant me a wish, I would love it. And if you're commenting here, please link me to your wishlist, so I can try to help you out as well!

Date: 2008-12-17 03:24 am (UTC)I haven't heard of bookmooch or paperbackswap. If I google them, will I get the right web addy? If not, let me know the links and I'll go take a look.
I'll also check out the book challenge on LJ. Someone on my flist reads a lot and she logs her books and # of pages read each year and I've decided to do that this year. (well starting in 2009). I wish I had thought to do so in 2008, because I went home for the summer and took out over 40 books from the library to bring with me! I read them all too! Plus I've been reading like a mad woman since then. It would have been interesting to see how many books I've read this year.

Date: 2008-12-17 03:26 am (UTC)If you join Bookmooch, you can put me down as your referral -- I'm under dakotawitch @ gmail dot com there too! Do you do LibraryThing or GoodReads? (You should totally surf by my LJ -- I'm a big reader and so is most of my Flist.)
