Holiday Wishes 2008

holidaywishes1. An apartment, with my boyfriend. Right now we can't afford it. I'd love for us to be able to move away from our families and start our lives together on our own. Just a little one or two bedroom apartment with lots of sunlight.
2. A better job. I'm burning out on my current job. Though I am grateful that I am employed, it's shit work for not enough money. I've recently landed a couple of non-paying gigs reviewing adult products. See my blog for details. I would love for reviewing/editing reviews to some how turn into a paid job or a career.
3. Paid LJ time. Money is really tight right now, and I'm not going to be able to take advantage of the buy LJ time get get extra add on pics deal. That, or, you know, a permanent account, but that's not gonna happen in this lifetime. :P
4. Gift cards. I like gift cards. Barnes and Noble, Amazon or iTunes would totally make my day. :)
5. A Flickr Pro account. I had one, but it lapsed over a year ago, and now I can only get at my 200 most recent pictures. Which sucks. Anytime I have money it has somewhere else to go, like into my gas tank, and I don't end up renewing my Flickr. I'm "skulling" on Flickr.
6. Graphics/a new layout for my blog. My name is carnivalesque, and I have a sort of a carnival theme, but it's the spinning swings, like on the cover of Under The Table and Dreaming. I'd like something more carnivaly, something kind of old feeling and garish, but with pretty colors. Maybe performing women in corset outfits, things like that, for a header.
7. Icons. Christmas icons. If you make them, that'd be awesome, if you found some killer ones that you love, link me to them.
8. Friends. I'm queer friendly, a tattoo fan, creative, open minded, and have a good sense of humor. If you think my journal is something you'd want to read, feel free to hit me up and I'll friend you.
9. Sheet music. Electronic download copies or photo copies. Christmas music would be ideal. Maybe "Walking In The Air" from The Snowman, or Carol of the Bells, or Oh Come, Oh Come Emmanuel. I love Christmas music.
10. A Christmas card. :) Or, if you don't want to spend the postage, an eCard, or a simple Christmas email. I'll reply in kind.
A lot of these are things I know that people can't give me, but they are things I truly want. A lot of what this list is about for me is sending the wishes and good energy out there into the world, and hoping that good things will come back to me.
