Hey all, I’m Jackie! I’m a twenty year old student at Tufts University in Massachusetts, where I’m studying biology, which I love. My biggest passion in life, however, is horses. I am owned by a fabulous Thoroughbred gelding, who I love. This is my first year posting to holiday_wishes, and I’m sooo excited. It’s such a fantastic group, and I can’t wait to grant wishes!

1. Mail. I adore getting things in the mail. I don’t care what it is – holiday cards (for any holiday, I’m not picky!), postcards, letters, a random picture you thought was gorgeous and wanted to give to someone – I’d love anything you wanted to send! If you send a letter, I’d be thrilled to write back. It’s just so nice to get something other than bills in the mail! :)
2. Anything from outside the US. I love foreign things, so anything you have that you’d be willing to part with – maybe a coin (of small value, I wouldn’t want anyone to waste money), or a piece of candy, or a magazine – would be loved and appreciated!
3. Earrings. My ears are pierced, but I haven’t worn earrings for a long time, and don’t have many anymore. I’d love to start wearing them again, and I think having some new variety will make it more fun. So if you have some old earrings that you think are fascinating but don’t wear anymore, or see some really cool ones and think of me, I’d love to have them.
4. Donate. Give your time, or your money, or your old toys/clothes/etc that you don’t need anymore. There are so many people out there who can use your help more than me! And don’t forget about the animals, either. I’d love it if people gave to http://canterusa.org/, which helps find homes for ex-racehorses.
5. Books. I’m hopelessly addicted to reading, and I’m always looking for new things to read. If you’ve read a book and loved it, and you’re willing to share it with someone else, send it my way! I’m not picky about what I’ll read, though I do tend more towards fiction – but that’s a habit I’d be willing to break if you think you’ve got a good nonfiction book for me. :)
6. There’s always my Amazon wishlist ;) 
7. Horse Treats. My horse  has sadly been spending a lot of time laid up lately, so he would really appreciate any treats or toys he can get. If you have used toys or boredom breakers that you don't need anymore I know he'd be grateful to have them. As far as treats go, he's not picky at all - he'll eat anything he can get his mouth on (peppermints, homemade cookies, poops, and nerds are particular favorites of his)
8. Eskadron climatex horse wraps. My shot in the dark wish. If anyone has used ones (or a similar type of wrap that gives extra tendon support) that they no longer need, I would be so incredibly grateful. 
9. Do something nice for yourself. God knows it’s easy to forget about yourself in this hectic time of year, so go on and pamper yourself for me. :) It will make me feel good to know you’re helping yourself!
10. Music. I love music, and I can never have enough of it! I’ll listen to anything, so if you want to recommend something you love, or put together a mix CD, that would be awesome. One particular thing I’m looking for is jazz music, especially if you’ve got any big band stuff (once upon a time, I played the sax in a jazz band, and I miss it).

It makes me really happy to hear you're donating to breast cancer - a friend of my family finally beat hers just a few years ago, and it is definitely a cause that is close to my heart.

And I'm saving the book recs away for when I get through finals! I've read To Say Nothing of the Dog by Willis and loved it, so I'll definitely check out all the others!
