1. My husband of 10 weeks is outside working in -30F windchill temperatures, carrying around a 25 pound chainsaw in 2 feet of snow. He does this year round no matter how much snow (4 feet anyone?) or the weather conditions. In addition to his aching hands and being tired, today he's sick on top of it. He does it because the economy in Northern Michigan is just about as bad as it gets - even before the economic downturn, there weren't any jobs. It worries me because every year, loggers and deep sea fisherman duke it out for profession with the highest fatality rate. (They practice sustainable forestry techniques and are not out raping the Earth, hence why they hand-cut and don't use massive machines to level the woods.) He's had his eye on a pair of Keen boots for at least a year, but we haven't been able to justify the money with our strict budget, and they never go on sale (we've checked *many* times). He'd LOVE either the Richmond Mid or Brooklyn Mid men's size 8.5 or 9. Kindness from a stranger would warm his frozen body.
2. So would wool socks, XL long underwear, underarmour, thermals, or other warmth wear.
3. I do a fair amount of sewing to repair tears in my husband's work clothes and to put buttons back on. Wouldn't you know, I don't even have a pin cushion. I LOVE this felted pincushion. I love it in these colors. It's my favorite thing on etsy. In fact, it's my favorite thing of the year.
4. A thimble would also be useful.
5. Pentago because we're old school and like to play games (and it's much cheaper than most forms of entertainment).
6. Tea box to store my collection of teas currently taking up way too much space in our tiny kitchen.
7. Sentry 1170B fireproof safe to house our important documents (i.e. new marriage license, tax documents, etc.)
8. Remington Shortcut Clipper Set, because he insists that I personally cut his hair - even for our wedding - and the scissors I have don't give an even result.
9. For my etsy shop to be favorited by more people.
10. ...and for more sales.
Thank you all for reading :) If you're able to grant our wishes, leave a comment below or in my journal and I'll email you my address. Happy Holidays to all!
