First time!

Hey, guys. This is the first time I've ever posted after being an active stalker and gift-giver for a while. It suddenly feels like this year is the year to post some requests. It just feels right! Here's a little about myself: I'm 21-years-old living in one of the New York City boroughs. I'm a minority living within a suburban town of minorities (read: I'm a Japanese/Mexican/Haitian mixed girl that's living in what is known as Little Chinatown). I'm currently studying in university double majoring in French and Music. As soon as I graduate I plan on becoming a working musician (read: struggling/starving artist... eegads!) in the rock or jazz realm. I find it difficult and strange to describe myself, but hopefully my wish list will give you a taste.


Un. A little piece of your culture. This is vague, but what I mean to say is something representative of where you come from like a Sari, a Martenitsa, a coin, or even a string bracelet that comes from your culture/country.

Deux. Music! A mixtape or a compilation of music would be incredible! Anything Balkan, Jazz, Indie-(insert your subgenre here), Arabic, Gypsy Punk/Rock, "Classical" (from whichever era), French, 60s dance music, Mod music, Dance music, Funk, 60s/70s-type-funk-movie-music (I don't even know what to call it specifically), Portuguese, and anything fun and unique...I'd love!

Trois. Penpals! Sometimes I fear technology because even though it has brought the world closer together it has created new walls and barriers. I would love to write to any and all of you worldwide.

Quatre. Oh, this one's completely bizarre and out of the ordinary, but if you for some reason have one lying around, one to make, or one to give away: a chainmaille vest. I know! I know! ...but I'd really like one.

Five. A little Doctor Who trinket for my cellphone.

Six. Taking steps to be eco-friendly. If that means starting a recycling program, walking a bit more, using recycled copy paper, (safely) throwing away that big ol' AQUANET can that you've somehow managed to save since the 80s, do it!

Seven. TEA! I love TEA! Jackie Chan's XTRA Green Tea, Chai Tea, Teavana Tea, any tea, Tea, TEA! I love it all. I LOVE TEA! Do note that decaffeinated tea need not apply. ;)

Ocho. WISH REMOVED.

Nueve. RINGS. Any badass-looking rings I'd love. I fit a size 7 most of the time. Just to humour myself, I'm going to post THIS ring just to show you what I mean by "badass", but I really don't demand anything that is a hassle to buy, meaning I don't need 4567898765K gold. Costume stuff is cool. (:

Diez! If any of you are the creative type, I'd really appreciate it if you could send a little something my way. If you have an etsy site to peruse through, that would be nice to see, too.

that is awesome. i went to college to be an archaeologist but got sidetracked. dinsoaurs however have always been my love.

If you can, I'd like a neverending scarf. It's pretty much a scarf with no end meaning the ends are intertwined, so it pretty much looks like a huge yarn circle. Do you think you could do that for me or is it too much to ask for?
