my wishlist, darlings.
Dec. 21st, 2008 02:45 pmHello everyone! I'm Lyndsay and I'm seventeen years old. I reside in the great state of Kentucky. I know this is a bit late to be posting, but you know what they say: better late than never.
1) I don't know how feasible this is, but I'd really love to have anything from London. Whether it's a postcard you bought in London, a receipt from eating or shopping in London, a rock from London, a subway/plane/bus ticket, you get the idea. If it's been in London, I'd treasure it forever. Anything from England, actually, would work. :)
2) A permanent livejournal account. That would make me uberly happy. :) I want room for more icons!
3) Some tea. Whether you'd like to send me a box of your favourite flavour or just tell me what your favourite flavour is.
4) Some old vinyl records. I'm not picky. Anything will work wonderfully. I do like things like David Bowie and The Smiths...but I don't know why ANYONE would want to give those away.
5) A foreign dessert recipe
6) A pretty notebook or some nice ink pens. I'm a writer, and I go through these things like no other.
7) An mp3 of your absolute favourite song. Music is my life, to say the least. You can tell a lot about a person from their favourite song. That's always interesting to me.
8) A nice hand-knitted scarf. I'd love to learn how to knit, but I just don't have the patience!
9) A collage. It doesn't matter if it's a digital collage you made on photoshop or one you made by hand.
10) Your favourite Christmas/holiday memory.
Happy Holidays everyone, and God bless you throughout the new year! ♥♥♥ You can contact me through PM or my email, which is on my user info page. :D

Date: 2008-12-21 08:46 pm (UTC)Hmm, I shall share my favourite Christmas memory! It's quite sadistic, though. But I thougth it was wonderfull.
My mom loves candles. Our house is pretty full of it, and with the holidays we light them. A lot of them. So, with Christmas, we did too. It was very pretty.
And than... we went opening presents! As carefully as my sister is, she threw the paper in which was her present on the table. Some moments later, we realized it was on fire! My mom ran for a wet towel and she threw it over it! We couldn't stop laughing. Or better said: I couldn't. Luckily, there was no damage. (of course, if there would be even the smallest kind of damage, I wouldn't laugh). It was a stupid thing to do from my sister, but no one was in danger (accept the poor towel) and nothing was damaged. We had a pretty good laugh afterwarts, actually, haha. :D
What's your favourite Christmas/holiday memory, Lyndsay?
Happy holidays, sweety!

Date: 2008-12-22 12:31 am (UTC)I don't have a favourite Christmas memory that I can actually remember, it's just one that everyone's told me about. I got a pink Barbie Lamborghini when I was three, and I was driving it all over my grandmother's house. I was coming down the hallway, and I didn't know how to work the brakes. I ran over her foot.
It's another one of those morbidly funny things. :D

Date: 2008-12-22 12:48 am (UTC)Hahahhahahhaha. XD If I saw someone do that, I would be rofl'ing over an hour. XD I can already see a little, innocent, sweet girl making chaos at grandmother's house.
Now you talk about it, I have another holiday memory. Well it's not quite a memory. I can't remember it. I was still in a baby carriage, then. Me and my family went to Disneyland, and it was all christmas-like and stuff there. My sister wanted to buy something in the shop, so we went in the shop. While my mother did not pay attention to me, and searching a present for my sister, drooling little me, checked out all the wonderfull toys. And then... Heavens light fell onto two beautiful figures. Beauty, and the beast. I grapped them both and I putted them behind my back in the baby carriage. When mommy paid for my sisters toy, we went outside. Abnormally happy, I took the figures from behind my back and began to play with them. XD My mom was so ashamed that she didn't dare to go back to that shop, haha. XD
It was my very first/last crime, haha! XD It was also my first (and my last, unfortunatly) time in Disneyland. :3 Man, what would I love to go back there. :D
It's awesome to tell memories again. It makes me realize how good we all have it.

Date: 2008-12-24 08:43 am (UTC)#7: I'll be PMing you a link.
#10: When I was little, I would sit down every Christmas eve and watch a VHS tape of several Christmas television specials that had been compiled by a friend of my parents for me; The Glo-worms Save Christmas, Rudolph The Red-Nosed Raindeer, Frosty The Snowman, The Tin Soldier, and several Disney Specials. Twenty years later I still have that same VHS tape and have the opportunity to share that with my adopted son.
