christmas wishes!

hey guys, i'm kara. i believe i either posted here a year or two ago... or maybe it was a place similar. just got around to joining, so i figured i'd post! and then i'm going to peep around other people's lists & see what wishes i can grant for y'all! i'm 20 years old, live with my boyfriend in kentucky, and in less than two months we're expecting our first child! a little boy, whose name will be Gunner Trace. :)


O1. extra userpics or paid LJ time. mainly because my paid time is going to soon run out & my extra userpics already have. i'm an icon-maker, & you can never get too many userpics! :p

O2. random dvds. my boyfriend & i have completely opposite interests when it comes to movies, as he would rather watch some action-packed film over a love-story, but we both enjoy comedy! so we're trying to UP our dvd collection (considering our cable is screwy & messed up right now, and all we have is the DVD player). anything really, would be great. burned dvd's are cheaper and we don't mind if they're new, used, or burned.. so. :)

O3. a fisheye lens for my camera. can be found here on amazon, new (or even used) would be fine. i've been wanting one FOREVER! or any other accessories for the camera i got for christmas (canon powershot a590 IS)

O4. a slider station! i know it sounds silly, but my boyfriend & i both have wanted one of these FOREVER. we love to cook, try new things & we think this would be a great gift! to see what i'm talking about or order one, go here.

O5. for you to spend the holidays with someone you love. i just got out of a nearly-5 year relationship and have been alone for the past 5 years on the holidays (for religious reasons, he didn't celebrate). my life has changed so much in a year! and it's completely opposite having someone who wants to be together & have big family gatherings (like my family does) on the holidays ... so i say spend it with people you love! whether you're single, taken, engaged, married... whatever! just family, anyone. be around people who make you happy.

O6. new or gently used baby items. as i said, we're expecting a little boy in less than 2 months & you can never get enough baby stuff! stuffed animals, baby blankets, onesies, diapers, bottles, & anything is greatly appreciated. or if you handmake things, that'd always be nice & special!

O7. active members/makers at my icon community ruinedstates. we have quite a few makers already, but everyone has different things going on this time of year! but we're always accepting new members, if you're the icon-loving type. to apply to be a maker, visit this post. :)

2- Oh I can totally burn you some dvds, have you watched Ten Inch Hero yet? I can burn that for you and some other of my fave movies.

5- done, I'm spending family with my parents, my siblings, their kids, my uncles, aunts and cousins, it's like a huge family gathering

7- I applied to join your icon community, I would apply to be a maker, but I'm just starting with icon making and I'm not that great yet

I've been with my boyfriend for 7 years, and we usually spend christmas at my house with my family (we live quite far apart). It's our first christmas with his family, and it's lovely.

I can't imagine spending christmas alone...I'm so glad you're spending it with people who make you happy :)

It's so very different! My family used to have it where everyone got together, but now each of the 5 kids & 18 grandkids basically do their own thing... at each and every individual household. But my boyfriend's family has been doing it that way, and then this year finally started getting back in the routine of having a big dinner TOGETHER. So it was amazing :)

I couldn't imagine Christmas being any other way, especially after this year and how much things are different. It has been FABULOUS!
