Technically I'm not new. Some of you may have heard
thesqueak rant about me; she's my soon-to-be wife. And Cheyenne is my daughter.
Rachel finally convinced me to look into this group to grant a couple wishes I have that no one in our family will be able to. We're already planning on granting some of your wishes, be it cards, books, handmade jewelry, pictures and other...stuff. Rachel and I are really impressed and very happy about the number of things we've received so far, so we're happy to return the favors.
My list is simple, there's only a couple things I want other than stuff I need.
1. A new hard drive for my laptop, any size over 10GB (because I'm running Windows XP on a 2GB right now, which will be replaced by 98SE or Linux when I do get a new one).
2. One or two 256MB PC-100 SODIMMS.
3. The Strong Bad Emails DVD. I already have the CD, which is really, really cool (if you like Strong Bad). This would make my 'collection' of H*R goodies an actual collection, to go with my CD and tote bag.
Other cool junk would include:
1. Some H*R shirts, XL;
2. DVD+R9 media (the dual-layer type--which I have yet to find in a store);
3. Rayovac or Energizer rechargeable batteries (NiMH);
4. Another Dell Latitude CP-series hard drive caddy;
5. A Pentium III 400MHz MMC-2 processor;
6. A board game or two for just two players, or else a multiplayer game that can be enjoyed by only two people. Those kinds of games are hard to find; a lot of multiplayer board games are fun, but not with only two people playing--not as fun as they could be with one more person.
It's not that my family or friends couldn't get any of these things for me, but most of our collective shopping is done, and we're all broke. This was stuff that didn't make it on my wish lists for my family, mostly out of ignorance or forgetting that I could use them. Most of my listing is afterthought--I don't think of how much stuff I could ask for until after Christmas is over. Then I realize how much crap I could have used that I can't afford. :-P
Anyway...If anyone can help, I'd gladly return the favor. I work for Scholastic Book Fairs, so I have access to hundreds of children's books and activities, including software, board books, plushes, etc. And since our warehouse sale is coming up, merchandise I buy is 75% off for me, so it's dirt-cheap. :-) Not that it's crappy stuff...we have lots of great books and a few cool toys, it's just really inexpensive for me as an employee. So let me or
thesqueak know if I or we can help you with one of your wishes.
Merry Christmas and Happy Blue Ear!
EDIT:
For those of you who didn't see it before, my email address is now publicly available in my profile. :-P I had it hidden before. Anyways...thanks in advance, and all that stuff.

Roomie's daughter has asked for simply stuffed dogs and cats for christmas.
