Happy Holidays :)
Dec. 1st, 2009 07:30 pmHello :)
I can't believe this is year five of this community. Seems like just yesterday... *hums 'Memory'*
After giving this some thought, I do have a small list this year.
1. At work on Monday, through the company email world, we learned of a 5 year old boy in New York who's terminally ill. It's likely that this is his last Christmas. When Santa asked him what he wanted, he replied, "Christmas cards from all over," so that his mom will remember him. This is easily wish number one for me: Send this little boy a Christmas card, and SPREAD THE WORD. The internet is a fabulous way of getting information out, and think of how happy that boy will be to get cards from, say, England or Australia or Egypt. It'd be pretty awesome, right?

2. My dad is going through his fourth round of chemo. Things are looking better, but a cure for cancer would be just... beyond words. Please donate to the American Cancer Society.
3. I wouldn't be me if I didn't add a link to the Amazon Wishlist. New, pre-loved - I'm not picky lol
4. Donate to your local animal shelter. I'm a big softie when it comes to animals and the shelters/ASPCA/Humane Society - they can use all the help they can get.
5. Links to awesome food blogs. I love to bake. :)
That's really all. After payday, I'll be dropping through here again to see what I can do. :)
Everyone, have a healthy and happy holiday season! :)

Date: 2009-12-02 04:06 am (UTC)Would you believe that I used to vacation in that tiny town of Mexico? Some of the best times of my life was spent there, so this touched me even more when I saw where he was from.
