My wishlist
Dec. 8th, 2004 07:46 pmHi everyone! My wishlist is posted here in my journal. Changes here are because people have sent/promised to send me those things.
1. Icons--Me on Jeopardy (animated if possible, pictures are posted on my journal and the Jeopardy website) and/or a default icon with a Lady of Shalott quote and a pretty picture (like the background on my journal).
2.A custom mood theme--either HP, LOTR, or something that fits in with my journal (i.e. matches background picture) I realized you need a paid account for this. oops.
3. A Republicans for Voldemort shirt
4. A Ravenclaw house scarf.
5. Terry Pratchett books. I have The Colour of Magic, Interesting Times, and Sourcery, and now I have Pyramids and have been promised several books about the Watch, but I'm looking for new ones (or used, if you can bear to part with them)
6. Mail. I love getting mail. It warms my little college-student heart to see something sitting in my HUB box. Or feel something, rather, since I can't actually see into my top row box. So send me a letter or a postcard or a bookmark or some little knick-knack or anything. (Especially if you don't live in the US, because international mail=teh awesome!)
7. A mix CD of random/obscure/cool music that you listen to all the time. I'm always in need of new music, and I'll listen to just about anything. Right now, my iTunes has everything from a harpsichord/recorder duo to Incubus.
8. Donation to charity. Scrape together a few bucks and give to a charity. If anyone wants to make a charitable donation in memory of my maternal grandmother or paternal grandfather(Alzheimer's research fund, perhaps, or a veteran's group for my grandfather) or my little sister (any groups that work with Down Syndrome kids), that would be beyond awesome and I would love you forever. E-mail and I'll give you their names.
9. For my Mom's book to get picked up by a serious publisher, and not just the self-publishing she did. If anyone knows anyone in the children's book industry, let me know, and I'll try to send you a copy of the book.
10. A new government. Seriously. Be active. Campaign for causes you believe in. Write letters to your Congresspeople/Senators/State Legislators/Governor/whoever. Volunteer your time. Do not, under any circumstances, be apathetic. Especially if you live in Pennsylvania, because Rick Santorum is coming up for reelection in 2006 and I'm going to be abroad next year when campaigning starts, and OH MY DEAR JESUS we need to get that man out of office.
