Xmas Listing
Dec. 9th, 2004 03:48 pm1. LJ friends are always welcome. Always! Comment and I'll add!
2. Paid LJ time. Any amount of time.
3. Stargate icons made just for me! Jack is my favorite. ^.^
4. Stargate banner to go on my info page. You know those "Blahblah is love" banners, and there are diff colored pics? Yeah...again, Jack is first priority, but Daniel is a close second!
5. A picture, just for me! Drawn by you! Of anything!
6. The title of your favorite science fiction book. Recommended books are always welcome.
7. A site where I can download (free) MP3's of the songs "I Wanna Do It With Madonna" by The Andriods and/or "The Man In Me" by Scarlet. Also, if you have those files on your comp, you can send them to me directly.
And if there's something I can do for you, ask! This Christmas spirit stuff is top notch. ^.~

Date: 2004-12-10 08:07 pm (UTC)Also, SF recommendations. I can't stick to one, so how about:
Robert Heinlein, Stranger in a Strange Land (uncut edition) - I don't like most Heinlein, but this book is wonderful.
Anything by James Alan Gardner (http://www.thinkage.ca/~jim/).
Neal Stephenson, Snow Crash (just discovered him).

Date: 2004-12-11 04:40 pm (UTC)And just about all of these (http://www.sfsite.com/lists/orion01.htm) are on my to read list--yay for classics that I have great difficulty finding. Of those I've read that are pretty easily accesible, The Forever War by Joe Haldeman and Childhood's End by Arthur C. Clarke are interesting. And if you're like me and a fan of the creepy future sub-genre, Feed by MT Anderson is a fairly recent one. C
