[identity profile] aliasagent.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] holidaywishes
So, it's that time of year again and again, I'm doing some [livejournal.com profile] holiday_wishes because it's one of my favourite Christmas traditions! Without talking too much, here are my wishes:

1. Books.
I really love books, and I love knowledge and entertainment. Problem is that when it comes to fiction, I rarely know what to buy and what's good. So if you have any books that's collecting dust in your shelf or something you think I'd like, feel free to send me something. Genres I really like in the world of fiction is well-written books with a good dose of the love element. Not the primary plot necessarily, but think... The Fearless book series by Francine Pascal (I dunno if anyone's read them but they are AMAZING and sadly I can't get any anymore. I read up to book 10 I think - called Liar).

In terms of non-fiction I really love stuff that concerns political/historical stuff. I have a strong fascination with revolutions of all kinds (particularly the Cuban one because I wrote an essay on that and since then I've wanted to read anything I can get my hands on). I'm taking a course in History where we are about to talk about stuff after the Medieval Times and my favourite type of History is probably more Modern. And again, anything political totally works. Or in Sociology or stuff like that.

2. LJ Paid Time
I'm a poor student and I can't buy too much of it myself and I hate the ads and I'm an LJ addition... I'm pretty sure that it needs no further explanation :)

3. Lush stuff
My favourite store in ALL OF THE WORLD. Seriously. I love everything there. And the halls I'm currently living in also has a tub so I can even get bath bombs and stuff. If you feel like brightening my Christmas up (I'm spending it in Glasgow - aka foreign lands - away from most of my Christmas traditions etc), feel free to send some. My bank account would thank you.

4. This or any other sort of tea you can think of.
I love tea and in particular that one that I linked (dunno about the site though, just so you know what it looks like). Sadly, I haven't been able to find anything yet where I live and I can only find it back home in Sweden, which means that it's more or less gold in my eyes. If you want to send me any type of tea, feel free.

5. Handbag(s)
I need a new handbag. Both of the ones that I had broke very recently and I've been looking for a new one but I can't seem to find one that I like. My only requirement is that you have to be able to put an A4 notebook in it. If you have one you want to get rid off, you can send it to me, no problem.

6. Laptop bag.
Essentially the same problem as #4, but I want it secure enough for my lovely Mac.

7. Neverwinter Nights for Mac/Mac Games in general.
Either 1 or 2 for Mac. I haven't been able to find the first one for Mac whatsoever, so I'm just keeping my fingers crossed and throwing out the wish there. Or any other computer game that's along those lines (or the type where you build cities - I ADORE THOSE!) or to do with ancient civilisations.

8. Christmas mixes
I always try to do this every year and it's probably one of my favourite things. It'd be great if you could make a small mix to me and send it. 'Cause it would be superb. Doesn't have to be Christmas music. I'd prefer it on an actual CD since I can't download without feeling as though I'm George Orwell's book 1984. Short story: I'm in uni halls.

9. Christmas cards
I'm more or less alone all Christmas because I'm staying in the halls rather than going home (too expensive), so it'd be lovely if some could send me Christmas cards. I rarely get mail so it'd be quite awesome to have some stuff waiting for me in the reception :)

10. Surprise me!
Seriously, I love surprises. And it would be great to have a few of those as well. Whatever you feel like basically.

Do you want to get me anything? Comment with your email and I'll give you my (snail mail) address. or email me at aliasagent@gmail.com

And to all of you reading, browsing or glancing at this: Merry Christmas and happy holidays. Regardless if you celebrate with someone, on your own, have your own tradition etc. I hope you have a wonderful time this year. I know from personal experience that sometimes it doesn't really feel like the most amazing time of year, but I really hope that this year will exceed all of your expectations and make you happy. Because, essentially, that's what life is all about.

Merry Christmas everyone and have a wonderful holiday!

Are you going to be in halls for the whole christmas period? Where is 'home'?

By the looks of it, a few of the Fearless-books are being offered at BookMooch.com - if you send me your address at misuranATyahoo.com, I'd be happy to try and get one or two for you. (I'm guessing you own the first ten already?)

I er should probably add a fair number of people on BM won't send outside the US, so there's some emphasis on 'try'. Still ... ).
