Dec. 11th, 2004 03:59 pmThank you thank you THANK YOU....
fsuchic27 for the post card! And
jonniehardcore for the Christmas card! And
caeru_ for the Christmas card and CD! I've already listened to the CD and I *love* it!! I just have one question/request. Direct translation (and pronunciation) of the card please? God Jul on the outside and God Jul och Gott Nytt Ar on the inside.
Thank you all so so sooooooooo much! I absolutely love Christmas! I bought the very last of my gifts a couple of hours ago....something that I thought I had already gotten, but hadn't. For
emmycantbemeeko...hehehe:) I showed Mama part of her gift and said "Emmy." Mama shook her head and said "Yup. She will like." *giggle* And she will (most likely) display it proudly! We shall see either today, tomorrow, or Monday:)
I'm off to wrap presents now, yay!!

Date: 2004-12-11 10:36 pm (UTC)I just stumbled upon your entry and thought I could help with the translation. "God Jul" means "Merry Christmas" "och Gott Nytt År" means "and (a) Happy New Year!"
Thanks!

Date: 2004-12-19 11:53 pm (UTC)God Jul och Gott Nytt År = Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and it's pronounced something like.. um. *ponders*
God: kinda like mood
Jul: Think Yule but the l is pronounced as in the beginning of the word late.
och: like mock
Gott: like got
Nytt: kinda like knit except more... open? *sucks at this* Hee!
År: long o, like in more
Hope that made sense :P
