FOR OTHER PEOPLE ::
1. Donate something to your local food pantry that is NOT pumpkin pie filling. Because having been there and done that, let me tell you, we had a full shelf of it still in July. Suggestions: Hot or cold boxed cereal. Pasta. Pasta Sauce. Juice. Canned tuna/fish. Dry or canned beans. Chili mixes. Mayonnaise. Peanut butter. Jam. Cooking oil / no stick spray. Rice. Tofu (the kind that doesn't need to be refrigerated). Baking mixes (cake, pancakes, muffins etc.) canned fruit. Canned veggies. Dried fruits. Nuts/peanuts/sunflower seeds, canned / dry soups, spices for cooking and condiments like mustard, pickle, salad dressing, etc. "Comfort" foods are always nice too, like cocoa mixes and boxed cookies.
2. Fic Feedback- not on my fics- Since most of you reading this enjoy fandom, go find 5 fics or 5 art pieces you like and send the authors/artists feedback, because almost every author out there loves to get it. Here's Maeg's Guide to Feedback if you feel insecure about what to write.
FOOD & DRINK ::
3. Holiday Coffees: Pumpkin spice coffee. Mint / Chocolate mint coffees. Or gift certificates for Gloria Jeans. Not decaff, yick! Whole or ground. (I don't know if Starbucks does pumpkin etc but NO Starbucks- it tastes "burnt" or something. I usually get various organics year round but Gloria Jeans and Frango Mint for holiday flavours; I'll try other brands). I am such a coffee addict, and naturally my favourite flavours have to be seasonal which means if I want to have them in July, I have to stock up in bulk, which I usually can't afford to do.
4. Tea samplers- any kind- black, green, red, white, flavoured, herbal, matte, medicinal. No decaffeinated teas, yick!. (I mean, Naturally decaf herbal teas are fine. But if there was naturally caffeine in it- such as black or green teas, when they decaffinate it, it tastes watered down to me.) Bags or loose. Individual bags are cool, as long as they have a wrapping to keep them fresh, and easy to slip a few in a regular letter envelope. (If you happen to have orange-coconut clipper brand tea though, I'd love a box of that)
5. Food from around the world. I'm open to trying anything, but please keep everything vegitarian/vegan (free of animal products) unless it's organic and free-range/uncaged or wildgame. Don't worry what I like- I will try anything once (uhm, except for insects.)- that's the fun of it. Tell me why you sent it- is it your favourite thing to eat on toast? Is it ridiculously popular in your town but unheard of elsewhere? Last year I got hooked on Canadian Coffee Crisp and got to try Reindeer meat and some German chocolate =)
ART STUFF:
6. Painting Supplies- Acrylic or Oil paints, Matte Medium, brushes (flats, points or chisels), coloured pencils, coloured inks, gesso, or gift certificates for Hobby Lobby or any place online that sells art stuff.
7. A feather quill pen. Metal nibs or nibs cut out of the quill itself (I've seen how it's done but I'm not up to practicing to get it right, right now). Not ostrich or anything "frilly". Goose or similar. Not solid white. Natural colours- browns, black, barred, etc (not colour dyed). I don't mind if I get more than one person sending me this.
OTHER STUFF:
8. Anything on my Amazon list. Anything that looks like it would fit my tastes based on that too. Used books = love; my house is like a library and I always recycle books I don't need anymore in some way or another.
9. A sex change. ok, I don't expect to get that.
10. Little things from around the world especially that you can mail in flat envelopes cheaply- photos you have taken, postcards, magazines (esp that show local culture, life, food, fashion etc), restaurant menus etc... More cultural stuff, not touristy things. Can be in other languages. (this isn't restricted to out of the usa, we've a lot of different cultural/local things here too) I find it inspirational for art and writing.

Please note this is a letter box. Letters, 9x12 envelopes that are bendable and small packages (like check boxes or a paper back book) can be sent here. If it's larger, and getting close to Xmas, email me for an alternative, as I don't want the Post office employees loosing packages behind the desk with the holiday rush.
