...{Ya Know, That Holiday Wish Thing}...
Nov. 1st, 2005 11:25 pmTHE BIG DAMN WISHLIST:
1): Extra paid time for my personal lj account {
_touched }. Everybody wants that, (i.e. 2 months paid extra lj time + 2 months 100 user pics extra time = a very happy me.) And hey, it's not that cost worthy either and probably the cheapest and most coolest way to go.
2): Queer As Folk - S1 dvd boxset. Since it's usually so expensive if you buy it new, I took special care to find a used set among hundreds of them, really. That's what this link is too, but of course if you're already a fan and you have it and there's a way for you to burn it to dvd-r and send it to me (the complete first season) then I would totally accept that in its place as well. Hey, it's all about making it easy and not so much cost worthy. Either way is totally fine for me. :)
3): Tru Calling S1 on dvd box set. {Note: I have no qualms with you clicking on the new&used links and choosing a new or a used one that's in totally good condition for cheaper.}. Hey, I'm all about the cheaper here folks, because I'm a poor college student myself, heh. And of course if you already have it and you have a way of burning the complete first season of it to dvd-r and sending it to me that way, I have no problems with that at all either. I'll take it any way that I can get it.
4): Firefly and/or both maybe Serenity soundtrack(s) on cd. These would make an excellent gift for me, because I totally heart Joss Whedon for his brilliant and masterful geniuses. Plus awesome music and scores...and of course if you already have these then I wouldn't totally mind if you could burn them for me, I'll take 'em any way I can get 'em. Less cost, more giftage to be had. :)
5): Angel the Series Soundtrack (cd) and/or maybe also BtVS: Radio Sunnydale Soundtrack, BtVS: The Album cd soundtrack. Those would totally be nice and I would love it, new or used is fine with me and hey if you already have 'em then I say burn those bad boys and send 'em to me that way. *g* I'm all about keeping the costs as reasonable as I can.
6): Serenity: The Official Viewing Companion written by Joss Whedon. Since I'm a major Joss fan (lol, like you couldn't already tell) and I also love to read this would also be a great giftage idea for me. And hey, if you can find a used one in good condition then I'd say buy that one instead. It's all about saving the money, either way I just want this book reaaaaaaaaally bad. Heh!
7): Batman Begins: Two Disc Deluxe Edition with Comic Book. This would be an awesome gift since I am all about Batman, Christian Bale was hot and I absolutely love Katie Holmes (sans Tom Cruise evidentaly, lol), but really would totally love this. Also, if you can find a used one or one that's a little cheaper that's in good condition I totally wouldn't mind that either, whatever makes it easier for you is good with me. *g*
8): Smallville: The Metropolis Mix (cd) and/or maybe both Smallville: Popular Music would totally be nice and a very hot thing to get for me, since I'm a really big fan of that show too. The little Clex shipper in me would love you for life and this is another one (that if you got it/get it) and can burn it that would be fine or if you can find a used one that's in good condition I would totally accept that.
9): A Home At The End Of The World (dvd), would be totally nice. I read the book and absolutely fell in love with it and I've been dying to see the movie ever since. If you can find one that's used in good condition then I totally woudn't object to that either.
10) Songs From Dawson's Creek Soundtrack and/or maybe both Songs From Dawson's Creek Vol. 2 soundtrack would be completely nice to have since I was a BIG HUGE fan of that show as well. Mmm love me some Josh Jackson and Katie Holmes, not to mention how hot Michelle Williams and Kerr Smith were. *g* Yep, you guessed it either used (in good condition), burned to cd or however it's easiest for you would be nice, -OR-, you could do this instead (a different option): You could creat me a Dawson's Creek soundtrack choosing songs that you think would be awesome I wouldn't mind either a Jen/Jack (mix with songs played during their scenes), a Pacey&Joey mix (same as Jack&Jen), or maybe just a Jen mix, Joey mix, or Pacey mix would be nice. You chooose if that's what you decide to do but this place DawsonsCreeCDs.com will help you with that. And you get to choose and do all sorts of neat stuff with it.
So you have A LOT of options with this one, but I also wanted to let you know that if you can't manage to do anything on this list there are other options that you can do like making me graphics (i.e. journal layout (fully coded though and installed), writing fiction from my favorite fandoms and pairings (looking at my user info is usually a good indication for that), making me icons is a total plus, I love receiving postcards and letters from anywhere or just scrapbooking stuff is always a plus with me (stickers, dye cuts, etc.). I'm just trying to make this as easy for you guys as possible and not so much with the cost worthy.
Also you can email me at: sadg@texoma.net for further contact information such as my home address or if you have any other questions regarding my list. I'll be more than happy to assist you. :)
Have a fun holiday guys. :)

Date: 2005-11-02 01:56 pm (UTC)Can you read multi-regional DVDs?
Because though I don't think that the fake DVDs from China have regions, I'm not entirely sure =/

Date: 2005-11-03 12:19 am (UTC)Bunny Slippers
Once upon a time, there was a man with cold feet. This was a terrible bother to him, as it kept him awake at night.
It didn't help that he was a nudist living in Antarctica, but that's beside the point.
This poor man with the frostbitten toes (and the frostbitten...uh, never mind) pondered his unfortunate dilemma. It took half a year, as his cold di--uh, FEET!--went to his head (no, not that one!) and hindered his thoughts.
At last, he snapped into action. Logging onto eBay with the help of his hypothermia-proof laptop, he bought a pair of bunny slippers. (I guess he forgot that he was a nudist, because that's all he bought.)
Fed-Ex airdropped his package overnight, and, in a frost-induced frenzy, the man hurriedly tore it open. Inside, past the Styrofoam popcorn packaging, sat a pair of the warmest, fuzziest bunny slippers he'd ever seen. The man was so happy that he stuffed them on his frigid feet. Soon, they were so warm that he completely forgot ever having had cold feet. He was a happy, happy man.
But something very strange happened one day.
For reasons that even he didn't know, the man always took his bunny slippers off before going to bed. Since he was always cold when he woke up the next morning, this was obviously a bad idea.
But, then, you can't expect a man who's stupid enough to be a nudist living in Antarctica to do anything brilliant. However, he was somehow smart enough to keep his bunny slippers beside the bed, on the off-chance that he'd change his mind and sleep in them.
Most of the time.
Anyway, the man left his bunny slippers unattended one night. Rather than removing them in his bedroom, he left them in the living room. Then, he went to bed.
The next morning, there were dozens of baby bunny slippers hopping around.
Caught completely off-guard, the man stared at the new additions. Then, he emailed Fed-Ex and asked them to come and pick up the extra slippers. They only scoffed, telling him the following:
1. The baby bunny slippers weren't their problem.
2. Sending a helicopter to Antarctica would cost the man a lot in weight and mileage fees.
3. They hadn't charged mileage before because they felt bad for him, being a cold nudist. Now, though, he was just a nuisance.
4. If he really wanted them to come and get the surplus slippers, the man would have to pay even more. No Fed-Ex deliveryman in their right mind would make that long, chilly flight again without being compensated with an enormous fortune.
Dismayed, the man gave up. He had only paid for two bunny slippers, but he now had roughly two hundred. What was he to do?
As the man stared at all the little bunny slippers, an idea slowly formed. It was really very cold to be a nudist living in Antarctica, now that he thought about it. And the bunny slippers on his feet were so toasty and cozy...
Quickly, the man logged on and ordered loads of needles and thread. The next morning, there was a package from Fed-Ex, along with a letter. It politely but firmly directed that the man find another packaging service for his future needs. The man shredded the letter and used it for kindling.
Then, the man sewed and sewed for days and days and nights and nights. When he was done, he had a warm, fuzzy wardrobe. He always made sure to keep at least one pair of bunny slippers available, in case some of his newly made clothes got ruined.
And he lived happily ever after as a warm ex-nudist living in Antarctica.
