I'm more of a Grissom girl myself, but I'll get to work on your graphics. How does a journal header/banner and some icons sound?

Here's a few songs from bands I like:

As for bookrecs, here's some:

Robert A. Heinlein: Double Star (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0345330137/102-9294400-9802500?v=glance&n=283155&n=507846&s=books&v=glance)
Double Star is a story about an actor who is hired to play the part of an important politician who has gone missing. It is counted as science fiction, but what I personally find most interesting about it is its psychological aspect, the way the main character adapts to his role and becomes it. One of my definite favourite books and highly recommended reading, if you haven't read it yet. It has won both Hugo and Nebula awards, which is always a sign of a good science fiction book.

Orson Scott Card (http://www.hatrack.com): Ender Series
Yet more science fiction. The first book, Ender's Game, tells of a war with an alien race, Buggers, and of intelligent children being trained as fighters for the war in a Battle School. The second book, Speaker for the Dead, tells of a human colony on a planet that has another race of aliens, Piggies, and the way humans deal with them. The third and forth books, Xenocide and Children of the Mind are continuations of the Speaker for the Dead timeline and delve even deeper into philosophical contemplations. There are also other books in the series, but these four are the "original" timeline - both Ender's Game and Speaker for the Dead are amongst my fave books and have won Hugo and Nebula awards. I love the Ender series because it expresses a lot of ideas that make one think; about war and life and our dealings with other humans and non-humans; they interest me on a psychological, sociological and philosophical level, but have also interesting storylines. Orson Scott Card's website has the first chapters of all his books, so you can take a peek to the contents there. *points to the link*

If you have managed to miss reading Good Omens (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0441003257/102-9294400-9802500?v=glance&n=283155&s=books&v=glance) by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, you should read it, too... it is an extremely funny and clever description of the (possible) end of the world. Other books by the same authors are recommended, too.

If you prefer classics, try Lewis' Babbitt (http://www.bartleby.com/162/) - I just read it for an American Literature course and it was really well written; it is satirical, tragic and funny. I found it both true and extremely funny when my professor compared the Middle America portrayed in the book to today's America and said that George W. Bush is like Babbitt. That's kind of sad, actually. In any case, a book worth reading, if even just for the pleasure of seeing how excellently the author uses satirical writing.

Correction: Double Star has won only Hugo. It's still a great book, though. ;)

By the way, as for music recs...I am perpetually recommending Sasha Alexander (sometimes just known as Sasha) to everyone. He's this deliciously hot and very talented German singer whose CDs I'm trying to collect.

For Wish #1:

Wish #2:
Nightwish - I highly recommend Nightwish if you like rock/metal at all and have not yet heard them. They have a very unique sound (singer Tarja brings a powerful operatic element to the music that blends beautiful on the tracks with orchestra). Of the albums they've done so far I recommend Once and Century Child for starters.
David Bowie - He's a music icon, so really any of his work is brilliant. Two older albums worth a listen are StationToStation and Low; newer work I would recommend Outside and Reality. If you're into live recordings David Bowie: Stage is incredible and quite honestly the best live album I've ever had the fortune of hearing.

I'm glad you like it.

This is going to sound silly, but which one did I send you? I made several for people on this community, but lost track of who got which one.

Sort of an abstract design in several shades of purple, right? I thought that you got that one.
