Nov. 6th, 2005 07:36 pm1. A Slytherin tie.
2. Beethoven's 9th symphony, complete. I can't seem to locate it.
3. Greensleeves song, with the lyrics.
4. Any Beatles song or CD. Or record. Or anything of theirs.
5. Fantasy/sci-fi books: Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman, Piers Anthony. The fully grim Grimm Fairy Tales. Anything fantasy really.
6. Cards, notes, letters; from friends (new or old), from fictional characters. :D
7. To meet my friends in RL. Six of them specifically.
8. *grin* To win a million dollars. To have money for my brother's tuition, my tuition, even just for rent.
9. To find a job I enjoy. One that pays decently, and somewhere I can make interesting friends. A bookstore would be nice. *happy sigh* Or a typing job.
10. To get published.

If I find a score... I'll send it to you
Date: 2005-11-07 04:51 am (UTC)(traditional)
Alas, my love, you do me wrong,
To cast me off discourteously.
For I have loved you well and long,
Delighting in your company.
Chorus:
Greensleeves was all my joy
Greensleeves was my delight,
Greensleeves was my heart of gold,
And who but my lady greensleeves.
Additional Verses:
2. Your vows you've broken, like my heart,
Oh, why did you so enrapture me?
Now I remain in a world apart
But my heart remains in captivity.
3. I have been ready at your hand,
To grant whatever you would crave,
I have both wagered life and land,
Your love and good-will for to have.
4. If you intend thus to disdain,
It does the more enrapture me,
And even so, I still remain
A lover in captivity.
5. My men were clothed all in green,
And they did ever wait on thee;
All this was gallant to be seen,
And yet thou wouldst not love me.
6. Thou couldst desire no earthly thing,
But still thou hadst it readily.
Thy music still to play and sing;
And yet thou wouldst not love me.
7. Well, I will pray to God on high,
That thou my constancy mayst see,
And that yet once before I die,
Thou wilt vouchsafe to love me.
8. Ah, Greensleeves, now farewell, adieu,
To God I pray to prosper thee,
For I am still thy lover true,
Come once again and love me.

May I ask what your favorite books by him are? I don't run across many Pratchett readers online, so it's always a lot of fun for me to meet another fan. :)

I absolutely adore the Watch series in the Discworld series :D. Vimes is the love of my life (after my few other books and tv boyfriends, but hey). And Death series also rocks. Especially the newest ones, with Susan. And I love the standalones, especially the Truth and Going Postal. Still hadn't got the newest one, Thud... we don't get new books quickly in Poland. *sigh*

Date: 2005-11-09 11:24 pm (UTC)I also like the Immortal series, but I really love "On a Pale Horse" and "For Love of Evil"...
Hmm. I'm worrying myself again. The first is a book about death, and the other is a book about the devil. ><
Oh I give up.. evil and darkness is just so much interesting then goodness and light.^^

Date: 2007-08-10 06:48 pm (UTC)Symphony no. 9 in D minor:
1. Allegro ma non troppo... (time 13.05)
3. Adagio molte e cantabile (time 12.06)
'Choral' Op. 125 Molto vivace (time 11.38)
1st Movement (time 14.22)
'Choral' Op. 125 Presto (time 7.43)
9th (time 11.25)
Saved the lot so if you want them, just say it. (Was that symphony not the unfinished one?)
no subject
Date: 2007-08-10 09:45 pm (UTC)I can't remember if the 9th was the unfinished one. I think it may be, but the only version I've ever gotten my hands on is definitely not all of what I know is floating around out there.
Goodness. You know, I'd forgotten some of the stuff I had on this list... *saves it*
Thank you so much! ♥
