1. Yarn/knitting needles/knitting patterns etc. Anything will do! If you send me something knitting related, I will try and send you a little knitted surprise :]

2. Sailor Moon merchandise, especially stickers (one of the Merlin sticker albums would be amazing) and posters. Or any of the subtitled DVDs other than Seasons 1 & 2. Or fanart!

3. A new set of tarot cards. I've recently noticed that mine has a couple of cards missing, which is annoying. I'm used to the Ryder-Waite ones so would rather have more of those but could give others a try.

4. Paint Shop Pro, any version from 6 up really. I don't want to have to pay all that money for a copy when all I really need it for is to make a (shareable) Sailor Moon moodtheme! So if anyone could burn me a copy, that'd be really great :]

5. Someone to tell me how to make screencaps! I've tried before with Windows Media Player by pressing "print screen" and pasting it into my PSP trial version. It looked like it'd worked but then when I saved the image and opened it again, it was just a big black space. Help!

6. Swallows and Amazons books by Arthur Ransome. I have several of them already, so check with me first :]

7. Write me a letter and tell me a story about something that happened to you once. Serious or secret or just silly - as long as it’s about you!

8. Shojo manga - anything but Sailor Moon and Card Captor Sakura since I have those already. You could email/YSI in a zip file or something!

9. Erotic fiction books, especially Black Lace.

10. This is a bit of a weird one, but the one I want most... home-made menstrual pads! I really want to make my own but I don't have a sewing machine, and I think I'm way too clumsy to make them anyway. If you could spare the time/material to just make me one I'd be really grateful! Alternatively, if you live in the UK I could send you a load of material I have and you could make me several. I can give you links to patterns if you need them.

That's a codex problem. If prefer PowerDVD, but if you want a free version, download BS Player (available at download.com). Pause it where you want to cap and hit "p" and it will save the image in whatever directory you specify.

For non-capping stuff (or for the "print screen/paste" method), you might want to download something like DivX Player instead of the Windows Media Player. Easier than adding the DivX codex into WMP.

I know the trial and free versions don't come with the screencapping option, but not sure what version they might bundle on a computer. If it has a little camera icon near all the rest of the control buttons (like preferences and such)... then you're all set.

I've never had a problem with doing screencaps. But I do mine a lot differently. I press ctrl+prtsc on my keyboard, and paste it into Paint.

Don't know if it's a coding problem or anything. Or what kind of computer you have. But yeah... >.>

That method doesn't work with some codexes, but yes it does work a lot of the time. As can see from the posters original post on this - it wasn't working for her with Windows Media Player.

But why make 3 steps (print screen, pasting it, cropping it) when you can do one (hit 'screencap' button)?

There's also Virtualdubmod (http://virtualdubmod.sourceforge.net/) [= VirtualDub with some adjustments made fro it to be able to handle more formats] that is actually better than PowerDVD, in my opinion. In VDM, it is possible to select a sequence of the file and it will capture all frames in that sequence and save them to the computer... it's really great when one wants to make movies. With anime there is naturally double frames, but it's easy to delete the extras. :) VirtualDubMod is also good when you need to cut video files to pieces for some reason, like make them fit on a cd or to just save one scene you like. :)
