christmas wishlist
Nov. 8th, 2005 11:34 pm01. Scrapbooking supplies.
02. Mix CDs. I like basically anything (other than rap).
03. Gift cards for any of the following: Borders, Barnes & Noble, Aeropostale, Pac Sun, Michaels, Ross.
04. Recipes for good foods that aren't too hard to make (I'm semi-kitchen-challenged).
05. Snail mail... You can talk about anything, include pictures, stickers, cute stationery, I don't care. It'd just be nice to get actual letters again. :D
06. Anything from my Amazon wishlist.
07. Pretty necklaces, bracelets, rings, anklets...
08. Sheet music (piano) for pretty songs.
09. Donate to your local animal shelter. Or better yet, adopt from there if you can.
10. For you to be happy, healthy, safe, and have a great holiday season.

Date: 2005-11-20 03:33 am (UTC)some easy recipes
Date: 2005-11-17 06:56 pm (UTC)Also, cook up three different shapes of noodles (look at the thickness and put the thicker ones in a little before), drain and throw in an absolute ton of Five Brothers Alfredo Sauce. Brown some hamburger and toss it in along with a little bit of sage. I'm drooling just thinking of it.
Homemade tacos, my favourite favourite meal. Brown hamburger. Heat a pan, put a little olive oil on, cook corn tortillas on it and bend them in half right after they come off the pan. Put the meat inside and add sour cream, salsa, cheese, cilantro, onions...

Herby Quick Bread
Date: 2005-12-03 04:03 am (UTC)2 tb sugar
1 tb baking powder
1/2 ts thyme
1/2 ts basil
1/2 ts garlic powder (or 3/4 ts garlic salt, and omit other salt)
1/2 ts rosemary
1/2 ts salt
1/2 cup shreaded cheese (I've been using Colby Jack)
1 beaten egg
3/4 cup milk
3/4 cup beer
1/2 cup veggie oil or olive oil <-- very tasty.
Mix together dry ingredients, mix together wet ingredients seperately. Add wet to dry, mix until a sticky dough forms. Stick it in a greased loaf pan.
1 hour, 350 degrees.
I've been using a pale beer for this recipe because it's ass beer that we're trying to get rid of. If you try something dark, let me know how it turns out. And really, most of the flavorings are just suggestions. I originally found the basis for this recipe floating somewhere on the internet. But the herb mixture in it sucked. Nutmeg, thyme and caraway? Blarg. 'Course, the fact that I hate caraway played a large factor. Then I read First Harvests for the nth time and decided to change the recipe to something more like what was described there.
