My holiday wishlist

This is my holiday wish list. These are cheap, strange items, but
they're necessary to help my daughter, and frankly, I just can not
afford them right now. I will be eternally grateful if people can help
with them!
1. Small objects that are tactile in nature like toy bugs, large marbles, scraps of different fabrics, play sand
2. Wooden blocks and plastic containers (even empty margerine containers are great! I'm working on collecting them myself.)
3. A large plastic tub table for things like sand and water that I can use as a sensory table.
4. Crayons, paints, chalk, pencil crayons and the like
5. Play sand
6. Mirrors of all shapes and sizes, preferrably the unbreakable kind as she's only two.
7.
A measure of sanity for myself and my husband through the caring hands
of a pediatrician willing to give us a solid diagnosis. (This is a long
shot, but hell, it's a wish list!)
8. A sensory swing. (These are
large weight bearing swings made out of fabric that are more like a
chair than a swing. DON'T GOOGLE THEM FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS HOLY!
You get strange results... trust me on this *shudder*)
9. Clothing
without tags or obtrusive seams. I think these are the reason she keeps
stripping naked and fighting getting dressed.
10. A house with at
least four bedrooms so that I can have a room to set all this up in
besides my living room. (Again, a long shot, but I can dream can't I?)
Sparing this, a penpal who has a young child with autism or autism
spectrum disorders. Someone that can relate.
My contact info is jynxgirl@gmail.com
Thanks! And Happy Holidays!
Now I'm gong to find someone else's wish to grant if I can!

Date: 2005-11-10 02:06 am (UTC)Best of luck with #7. I know what shifty diagnoses are like after chasing doctors around with my parents trying to figure out what was causing my brother so many troubles.
