My Wishes :)
Nov. 12th, 2005 07:10 pmI'm very new to this, so I hope Im getting this right ^^
My Wishes are as follows.
1. Socks...I have a HUGE sock fetish. I am a lover of socks. I love them all ^^
2.I know almost everyone wants one of these lol A paid lj/extra photos.
3. Christmas Cards/Letters...I love displaying my cards, and I love writing letters. So in the sense of things, Pen-pals.
4. Anything Froggie. I Love frogs too.
5. Any good leads on Dale Earnhardt Sr Things. My Husband is a HUGE Earnhardt Sr fan and I have exhasted my sources here where I live. I have also exhasted Ebay lol.
6. Anything Pink.
7. Books...I love reading, I am a fan of just about anything. If you have a fave book Tell me what it is and If I can find it here where I live, I will read it :)
8. Those Rubber bracelets that have things written on them, I have a breast caner one, and a Earnhardt one, but those seem to be the only ones I can find. If you have any good leads as to where I can get some or have a few to spare I'd appreciate it. :)
9. Be Kind to someone you don't know. Open a door for someone, Say Hello, something along those lines. You'd be surprized how easy it is to make someones day, or change someones day by a simple act of kindness.
10. And lastly...Beads...any type of beads. I try when I can afford it to by those bags of beads to make necklaces and bracelets with my 3 kids. Its fun entertainment.
I truely appreciate you all taking the time to read this and I look forward to granting as many wishes as I possibly can :)
Leave a note if you need my addy Ill be more then willing to give it.
EDIT:: Heres my email addy.... applebastic@yahoo.ca

Jan

Date: 2005-12-02 05:14 am (UTC)Book recommendations
Date: 2005-12-04 04:54 am (UTC)If you don't mind reading about forensic science, "Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers" by Mary Roach is fantastic. She's a very funny author and you will laugh out loud as you read it (how's that for a glowing review? ;) )
One of my favorites for how well the characters are written and how interesting history can be when it's written well is "Outlander" by Diana Gabaldon. Don't be put off by the fact that it's usually found in the romance section of book stores. It's a damn fine book, and so well-written.
"The Time Traveler's Wife" by Audrey Niffenegger is one of those books that everybody I've spoken to who's read it has said that they loved it. It has such an interesting concept and is done really well. I *highly* recommend this one.
