A wish list, by gum!
Nov. 18th, 2005 08:11 pmHappy Holidays, everyone! I'm so amazed to see this community still going strong-- it's such an awesome reminder that there really are nice people out there, when the news is full of terrible ones.
Things I wish for:
1. Paperback copy of Honor Among Enemies, by David Weber. (Used is wonderful.)
2. Fingernails that aren't brittle. Sigh.
3. To learn how to make dreamcatchers.
4. A horse!
5. Small aquarium plants (4 inches or shorter), the kind with trays at the bottom for rocks.
6. Fantasy and Sci-fi pins: Gryphon, Purple Gryphon, another griffin/a>, Marching Gryphon, or anything snarky/witty/in-joke-ish that pertains to sci/fi and fantasy.
7. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, British paperback.
8. A pet crow, or raven in a pinch. :)
9. Tea, bagged or looseleaf; any sort, so long as it's not fruit-flavored. There can never be enough tea.
10. Stickers: Sepia Griffin, Teal Griffin, Blue Griffin, Red Griffin, etc. Unicorns, phoenixes, elves, and other fantastical critters are also welcome!
Should you be moved to grant any of my possible wishes, just email me. My address is horsybird @ gmail . com, or you can just comment with your own email.
This community is so much fun!

Date: 2005-11-27 04:38 am (UTC)It's just not fair, is it? And to make things worse, my brother and my dad both have these amazingly-strong, super-fast-growing nails that just won't quit! But no, I had to get mom's flimsy brittle nails that bend and snap even when I don't bite them (heck, it's the *reason* I bite them)!

Date: 2005-11-19 04:04 pm (UTC)I can tell you how to make dreamcatchers. They aren't actually that hard - I had to fill in as an art teacher at a summer camp and teach a pile of 6 and 7 year olds once (they didn't do so well at it, but they were happy, nonetheless). Umm, I'll try to make up an illustrated set of instructions, and get that to you by email.
