Dec. 1st, 2005 10:50 amOh, I loved this meme last year! Here we go again! Since my birthday is really close to Christmas, this kind of my birthday wishlist too.
1. I've wanted this Buddy Boy DVD forever. If this is the only thing I get for Christmas/Birthday, I'll still be as happy as a pig wallowing in mud. ^_^
2. Paid LJ account time Mostly because I've been oogling those extra userpics and polls. And, extra icon space would also be nice.
3. Charitable donations to any charity of your choice (either money, items, or time). (Personally I support the Salvation Army, World Vision, and the Humane Society, but give to whatever charities you support.) (The Hunger Site is a good place to start. It's free, all you have to do is just click.)
4. Anything Jin/Sun (from Lost) related as I simply adore this ship, but I've not been able to find much related to them out there. Whether it be fic (either written or recced), vids, icons, or anything else, I'd love to see it.
5. More LJ friends with interests similiar to mine. It would be really neat to have more people on my friends list who'd do the fanish squee's with me. My main fandoms are Battlestar Galactica, Lost, Doctor Who, and Firefly. And in terms of music, there's Tori Amos and Placebo.
6. Emails, comments, etc. Because they're superfun to receive. :)
7. The Movies in Fifteen Minutes Book It would have to be shipped from England, so it will be a tad expensive, but I really want to read it. (I'd share, I promise! ^_^)
8. Any and all Vegetarian/Vegan recipes A couple relatively simple holiday-esque recipes would be especially appreciated, as I've been assigned the task of cooking Christmas dinner, and I'd really like to not fail miserably. :P Also, suggestions for lunches would be greatly appreciated, as currently I'm basically eating the same thing everyday, and that, erm, can't be healthy.
9. And, wandering into the realm of the rather impossible, a pet. We're talking something small and fuzzy, as in a hamster, rat(s), or mice. I pretty much realize this isn't going to come true.
10. Crazy amounts of spreading the holiday spirit. Go out and donate food to a food bank, give toys to toy drives, hug your neighbours, be nice to everyone you meet, try to help out with other people's wishlists, etc.
If you think you could grant one of my wishes, it would be lovely if you could go comment on my Chistmas wishlist post at my journal, as I'd like to keep everything all together and organized.
If you want to contact me about anything, or send me an email, my email address is redisbest29 @ hotmail.com! :)
Happy Christmas and all that! *sprinkles snowflake confetti*

Date: 2005-12-03 02:49 am (UTC)Aaaaaaaaaand
Date: 2005-12-03 04:05 am (UTC)3 cup flour
2 tb sugar
1 tb baking powder
1/2 ts thyme
1/2 ts basil
1/2 ts garlic powder (or 3/4 ts garlic salt, and omit other salt)
1/2 ts rosemary
1/2 ts salt
1/2 cup shreaded cheese (I've been using Colby Jack)
1 beaten egg
3/4 cup milk
3/4 cup beer
1/2 cup veggie oil or olive oil <-- very tasty.
Mix together dry ingredients, mix together wet ingredients seperately. Add wet to dry, mix until a sticky dough forms. Stick it in a greased loaf pan.
1 hour, 350 degrees.
I've been using a pale beer for this recipe because it's ass beer that we're trying to get rid of. If you try something dark, let me know how it turns out. And really, most of the flavorings are just suggestions. I originally found the basis for this recipe floating somewhere on the internet. But the herb mixture in it sucked. Nutmeg, thyme and caraway? Blarg. 'Course, the fact that I hate caraway played a large factor. Then I read First Harvests for the nth time and decided to change the recipe to something more like what was described there.
