Date: 2005-12-04 02:57 am (UTC)2 - Authors: I'm a big David Eddings fan. The multi-part series that he's written are better then his solitary works (with The Losers being the exception). Spider Robinson is great, too. So's Mercedes Lackey.
Books: Anything by the above authors, plus I've gotten into re-reading some older books I own, and 101 Damnations is a funny book all about pet peeves.
Websites: Rum and Monkey (http://rumandmonkey.com/) is great, and I love going to ThinkExist Quotations (http://en.thinkexist.com/) for all my quote needs. Since you're into Pagan things, I'd also recommend Gryphon's Moon (http://gryphonsmoon.com/index.php) which is an online store (plus there's inspirational quotes on every page).
Songs: "Once In A Blue Moon" by Sydney Forest; "Slow Suicide" by Jamison Parker; "Deeper Into You" by TRUSTCompany; "So Much For The Afterglow" by Everclear; "We Used To Be Friends" by The Dandy Warhols; "A Smaller God" by Darling Violetta; "Paradox" by Splashdown; "I'd Start A Revolution" by Aimee Allen; "Pure Imagination" by Maroon 5; "Angel" by Neoverse; "No Sleep Tonight" by The Faders; "Gold Dust Woman" by Hole. I can send these to you, BTW.
6 - I can make graphics for you. I make header/icon/FO banner sets as well as just header/icon sets. Pick an interest and a color scheme and it's yours.

Date: 2005-12-14 06:14 pm (UTC)Websites...I've got a few. notpron (http://deathball.net/notpron/)'s pretty cool, although God forbid that I could try and solve it myself. care2 (www.care2.com) is also a great website if you like trying to make a difference. And then there's craigslist (www.craigslist.com), which is really cool if you live near a city that's listed there. And freecycle (www.freecycle.org), can't forget that.
As for books, the Harry Potter series is really good, if you haven't read them before. Also, The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd is great, and the Diary of Anne Frank (obviously by Anne Frank) is great too.
Movies! You didn't ask for movies, but you said anything else so oh well. Let's see...some of my absolute favorites...Moulin Rouge is my favorite movie of all time. Everyone should watch it at least once. The Notebook is also great. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind was good, and it makes you think. Rush Hour 1 and 2 are hilarious, in my opinion, and then there's Chicago, which you'll probably like if you liked Moulin Rouge and vice versa. The Breakfast Club was a good movie, and DE-LOVELY. Gah. I just watched that a couple of days ago and I LOVED it, though if you don't like musicals you probably won't appreciate that. And I'm all rec-ed out now. :)
