My 10 Wishes...

Hello and thanks for looking :D My name is Skye and I'm 20 years old. I'm new to this whole thing and not even sure if it'll work but here goes anyway. I appreciate anything whether it's used or new. Doesn't matter as long as it's in fairly good condition. Also, I have a amazon wishlist which can be found here.

1. Books ::
I like all sorts of books, gory, murder mystery, etc. But especially kids books that I haven't seen since I was little. One that's really special to me is Tikki Tikki Tembo, which can be found on my wishlist here.

2. Movies ::
Once again, I loooove horror movies, and murder mysteries. I don't have alot of movies in my collection because I just don't have the money for it. So if you have any used movies that you thought were good I wouldn't mind watching them :) Especially Ravenous which can be found here.

3. Make-up ::
Make-up is my passion, hobby, and hopefully future career. It's a chance to be creative and let everyone see it. However, my collection is a tad small because I either ran out, broke, or lost most of my
make-up when I moved. I really like bright colours which are hard to find in my small city. Any brand, doesn't matter I'm not picky, even lightly used would work.

4. Accessories ::
There's nothing better than some zany jewelery! Handmade, or just something you're tired of wearing, maybe a little weird bobble out of a gumball machine even. The weirder the better :D

5. Houseware ::
As I mentioned, I moved. Alot of things had to be thrown out because our other place was..well really disgusting. It left me with much less than I thought I had to decorate our new place and it just doesn't feel quite like home. If you have anything to help decorate a house: bath mats, candles, artwork, shower curtains, really anything it would be much appreciated, even if it's from a dollar store (they can have some pretty neat things!) There's also things on my amazon wishlist for more ideas. here.

6. Hello Kitty ::
I used to watch the show when I was little and still love Hello Kitty. She's adorable. Anything with Hello Kitty on it makes me smile whether it be a hat, bag, or even just a little figurine. Example.

7. Crafts ::
I have recently got back into making all sorts of crafts, but don't have alot of supplies or the cash to get them. I'd really like some fabric paints so I could make some t-shirts. But anything would be handy, beads, thread, stencils, etc. Or if you're into crafts maybe you could make something? Even something small...?

8. the Simpsons ::
I've watched this show forever, as has my boyfriend. We both collect anything with The Simpsons on it. I thought this was pretty awesome, it's clue and The Simpsons all in one! here.But posters, knick knacks, etc _anything at all_

9. Cats ::
I am a cat lover through and through. I've had cats all my life and currently have an adorable, evil black cat named Snowball (named after The Simpsons cat). Anything cat related would be nice (post cards, cards, stamps, napkins, wind chimes, etc) Sorry for the weird examples, but when I say anything would be wonderful I do mean it :) This is pretty cute.

10. Do something nice for someone else, and tell me about it :
This year for me, my family, and friends has been a shitty one. So many bad things have happened and I know what it's like to think no one cares. So if you could just do one nice thing for someone else to show them you do care (whether it be a stranger or friend) it could make all the difference in their day, and probably yours too :D

I live in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario and can be reached at nutty08@hotmail.com for my mailing address.

I'm not a 'big' person to find in the kitchen cooking. This year I figured since I'm a mom now and I need to get the practice in and my grandma loves cheesecake. I made some =). Alright it wasnt HOMEMADE cheesecake but it was made by my hands. It was that JELLO cheesecake stuff. I ate a little to much and I think I made myself a bit sick or maybe thats just how my cooking ends up to be ..lol..Anyways Merry Christmas and have a awesome new year!

Do you mind lightly used fabric paints? I bought a lot when I worked at Michaels and have used them maybe once. If that's fine, email me with your address (and username!)

First off, ::hugs:: about your year. I know exactly how you feel; this hasn't been a banner year for me and mine, either.

10 - I did do something nice for a complete stranger recently. I had asked her for a cigarette, and when we got to talking we found out we had a shared love of writing poetry. I told her about a bi-weekly poetry slam that was free at the local Barnes & Nobel, gave her some advice on how to best use an experience at one of them, and also directed her to LJ and told her to look up various communities where she could share her work. She hadn't been smiling when we got on the bus but by the time she left she was. I think I helped make her day better.

I might just be able to grant something, if you want to fling your email my way. :) (horsybird @ gmail.com)

One, at least, I can do right now; for #10, I am granting 14 wishes this year!

If you want to do something nice for a stranger, you could bookmark the Breast Cancer Site and its relatives and click every day; it's free, and it gives mammograms to women who can't afford them! You can find them here:

Breast Cancer Site (http://www.thebreastcancersite.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/CTDSites)
Animal Rescue Site (http://www.theanimalrescuesite.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/CTDSites.woa)
Child Health Site (http://www.thechildhealthsite.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/CTDSites.woa)

Ecology Fund Site (http://www.ecologyfund.com/ecology/_ecology.html)

And then there's Poverty Fighters (http://www.povertyfighters.com), which is an absolutely fascinating idea-- and you can click *twice* every day!

Merry Christmas, and here's hoping you have a very happy new year, to make up for this one! :)
