Due to the influx of re-posted wishlists and also of people posting two wishlists using two different LJ accounts last year:
- any double-posts found by moderators will be deleted
- in the case of two different wishlists being posted by one person, both lists will be deleted and you will be removed from the community.***
The moderators always do their best to keep on top of any re-post problems, but the other case is a little more difficult since it involves comparing email addresses and physical addresses on posts and not just usernames, making inquiries, etc. If you run into such a thing or problem, please let us know about it with a comment here.
I'd also like to take this moment to remind everyone what this community is about - as it says in Holiday Wishes Step 2:
"The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call. There are no guarantees with this project, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special."
This community is about people being nice enough to try and help grant wishes - not place for people to try and take advantage of someone else's generosity with greed and neediness. Everyone gets one post. Everyone has the chance to make that post more accessible using tags (see Adding Tags To Entries if there is still confusion about how to do this). Please do not let greed ruin the holiday spirit for others.
(***I will look in-depth on any such incidents being reported to determine that it is truly one person that has posted two wishlists and not simply a case of roommates or siblings having the same physical address.)

Date: 2006-12-21 02:27 am (UTC)Please ignore my previous post about holiday cards. I am so sorry about that. I accidentally clicked post to "holiday_wishes" instead of my own LJ. I did not realize until after I submitted it. I hope that I'm not spamming up your inboxes and I really feel so stupid about it.
I am so very sorry about my mistake and I promise you that it will never happen again. Please forgive me and please don't kick me out of the community.
I didn't know any other way of contacting you so I thought I would do it through here.
I'm really very sorry.
Have a happy holiday season,
Becky
