My wishlist
Dec. 11th, 2005 04:01 pm1.Friendship...I will be alone this Christmas, I have chosen not to be around my family anymore and have no friends I'd feel comfortable doing Christmas with. So while you are enjoying your family Christmas or intimate personal Christmas don't forget me...Or a lot of other people who will wake up alone on Christmas morning.
2.Copies of DVDs, if you have a DVD collection and a burner and can make copies of movies I'd be rollin' in high clover to get copies of whatever you might think I like. I have almost nothing right now as DVDs go so it's unlikely I'd already have whaat you have. My preferences lean toward Sci-Fi, spooky psycho thrillers (particularly of a religous theme...Exorcist, Stigmata) or ghosty movies (The Others, The Ring) and Paul Newman!
3.Food, care packages, gift card/certificates for grocery stores/restaurants. my financial situation means I don't eat well or regularly.
4.Make sure you share all your great Christmas stories in your journal. I never enjoyed Christmas after the age of 7 for obvious resons. And it makes me feel nice to hear what Christmas really is in other peoples homes. Is that weird?
5.Financial assitance...I can't say I'd ever refuse.
6.This may not even possible but passes for the museum, the zoo or art gallery here in Toronto. I love those places.
7.PIZZA...Of course it's food, but so much more too!!!
8.Hmmmm...running out of ideas so My Amazon wishlist has ideas.
9.Portable CD player walkman. Mine died a while ago and I miss it.
10.Send me good vibes, wishes, lucky charms, holy blessings, indulgences and hope for a better year this year. I am teetering here and anything to make it beter is always good.

Date: 2005-12-12 06:07 am (UTC)We're staying in town this year, but I still have to work Christmas day. I'm baking cookies for my co-workers. If we have to work the 25th we can at least be on a sugar high while we're doing it. I'll think of you while we're slaving away. Know you're not alone in spending Christmas by yourself and that there are some of us out there thinking of you.

Date: 2005-12-12 09:37 am (UTC)As for passes, I might be able to get your either passes or coupons.. I'll see what I can do.
As for Christmas Stories.. Well.. our Christmas is pretty much the same every year.. Brunch at one of my siblings or parent's place or mine.. It's brunch so the little once can open their stockings at home.. but brunch to share gifts.. & eat.. Then dinner about 4 or so to whomever doesn't have other plans (this usually does exclude my brother cuz he has 3 families to fit in to his schedule now).. we all still have stockings.. mom & Dad do mine, & I do mom & dad's with the help of the other parent. :)
Christmas Eve tends to be church for the family service with either my God Children or my neices or both.. & then late night communion either on my own or with my best friend.
I'll try & come back to this & see if there is anything else I can help with.

Date: 2005-12-12 10:49 pm (UTC)As far as Christmas dinner goes I think I'd be uncomfortable and probably make everyone else uncomfortable anyhow. Though I genuinely appreciate it.
Anything you gave or just tried to give would be wonderful.
