It just keeps getting better...

I got a whole pile of cards in the mail yesterday and today... and they are now strung on ribbons hanging around my desk. Lovely ornaments: A beautiful blue snowflake, an adorable kitten, a precious stocking - all handmade and wonderful. Two wonderful tea cups.

An unexpected gift... someone visited the website for my brother's book... Sleeper Cell, by Greg Smith
http://www2.xlibris.com/bookstore/bookdisplay.asp?bookid=28002 - and bought it, and sent him an email asking if he would inscribe it for a "holiday wishlist friend" of his sister! WOW! I was so touched! He has sold books in Canada, France, and Hungary as well as all over the U.S., and couldn't figure out where the sales were coming from. (It is his first book and self published... so this is really something special!)

The best gift, absolutely the best, has been the gift of the spirit of love and giving.

I had no expectations for this list, and really only joined almost as a joke because I really didn't think anything would be special about it.

But it is special. It worked magic on me... and my Christmas has been the most wonderful one I've had in a long time, because I got to watch as so many people took the time to reach out to each other, just to say "be happy" and rejoice.
