It's time to announce that holiday_wishes is officially closed.

Any wishlists submitted from this point on will be rejected. If you still have outstanding gifts to send, please do so as soon as you can, or notify your giftee that their gift is on its way!

If you have not voted or commented in our feedback poll yet, please do so! We're going to be reconstructing some of the rules and struture of the community for next year very heavily based on the feedback that we receive this year, so if you would like to see something changed, please let us know, either through poll, comment, or e-mail to wishlist.project (at) gmail (dot) com. We can't guaruntee that we'll be able to accomodate everyone, but we are a community here and we will do our best to consider input from all.

At this time, it's your decision whether or not to take us off your friends lists. The only posts that will be occuring between now and next fall will be from the mods, and will probably only relate to feedback issues and rules for next year that we may put up to vote, so there will be virtually no traffic until then. Your flists will be safe from the swarm of activity until then if you choose to keep us around. ;)

Hello. I have gifts wrapped that I am ready to send, but I have lost the names and addresses of who I meant to send them to. I would like to make a post listing what is in each gift and if anyone still around would like them, is that possible for me to do here, or in holiday_thanks since people watch that?

This is something we've unfortunately found no good way of dealing with en masse.

If you've absolutely lost contact information and have been unable to find the person's entry, you may post to holiday_thanks, but we won't allow the post here (we have rejected a good many of these over the season -- easily over a hundred) and since the number of people watching over there is actually quite small in comparison, we can't guaruntee they will see it :(

Every community member is responsible for keeping track of their giftees. There are just too many people here, and the comm at it's height was too high traffic, to allow everyone to make posts directed at individual people. I'm sorry :(

But if anyone sees this comment and thinks they might be the giftees in question, maybe they'll speak up? :)

I'll try looking through the posts I recognize from the couple weeks I was active and also post in holiday_thanks if that still leaves me with some, thank you, and yes, if anyone who sees this recognizes my username and thinks I may have said I'd send you something, please speak up!

This community is a great idea! But unfortunately, even if I received many comments about my holidays wishes, I didn't receive anything :( Many members told me that they will send me something (baby boy stuff, kawaii stuff, Sanrio stuff, etc.) but no one did... I'm a bit disapointed because I granted several holidays wishes and received anything... but I'll rejoin next year, maybe it will be a better year from me...

Likewise. While I enjoy the giving and didn't expect anything, I thought it a little unfair that I made the effort and other people just promised and failed to do anything.

Hopefully next year will be better. :-)
